Hi ...

Noob question ... what's the difference between E200ML & E200K (W211)?

Both are 1.8L, only visual difference is ML being older & the rims looked different [:p]

Thanks in advance ... and apologise if you fall off the chair seeing such question [:(]

E200ML bhp/torque is much lower than E200K.

from old to new models:

E200ML->E200K->E200 CGI

E200ML no power.

simple? =p

So ... that explains why ML is cheaper than K for pre-own ... Thanks ...

Those 2003-2005 W211 better don't buy,very problematic cars.

My customer who droves an older model say the 'Kompressor' is a nightmare.

He always joked that this must be a Malaysia-made compressor!!!

W124 FTW! i have a W124 here in my carpark. the owner swapped out the stock lamp assembly for a HID assembly which comes with turn lights signal etc. Beautifully done.

I think so,get that later facelifted version,the model that don't have the SBC brake unit infront.

If I recall correctly, the facelifted e 200k boasts of 2000 improvements. Don't ask me what they are. So, it is better to buy the facelifted version to enjoy the benefits. Just my 2 cents. The car has nicer fog lamps for those may/jun 2007 regn onwards.

what is ML supposed to stand for anyway?

interesting question.

jokes:

ML = made in Malaysia Land

K = made in Korea

CGI = parts from China, brand from Germany and manufactured in India [:p]

anyway, after surfing the net, it is believed that ML stands for Mehrzweck Leicht.

Mehrzweck stands for general purpose and Leicht stands for light.

this might mean, MB is making ML model for light weight and general purpose usage.

there are also another claimed ML to be stands for Mercedes Luxury.

this one no need to explain further.

nonetheless, it seemed like there is no definite answer. [laugh]

OMV of these 2 models are about the same, it is a telling that build quality & spec of both models are about the same.

Both are good cars, you'll be happy with the drive. :)
