For reasonable quality, I believe the price in Singapore should be in the range of $700-$900 (same colour).

 

Do let us know if anyone here knows of any shops offering price below this range.

haha, $400 i not very sure but i think dealer may get such price, but quality may or may not be very good.

 

However i did my previous tucson before i sold it at $750.

 

Price includes 2 times polishing after the re-spray, removing of small dents and changing of worn out rubber tubings alongside the doors.

 

Recommended by a friend's neightbour who has been the workshop's client for over 15yrs

Wah, S$400 for whole car re-spray is really cheap if it is in SG. Do they remove all fittings and panels to re-spray or just use masking tape to tape up? My last two re-spray, my workshop did remove all fittings and door panels to do the re-spray + amending all the dings.

 

I only heard from my fren whose fren is a car dealer. They send their cars to JB for full re-spray at RM900.

 

Can PM me the address in case I need their service again?

If I remember correctly, there are 2 types of 2K paints systems and fast dry or slow dry type. Not abt brands here - brands got many.

 

One type is 2-1 type. the colour and lacquer within same can. so one time spray that's all.

 

Second type is separate colour and lacquer cans. so need to spray colour first. oven bake, prepare car again for lacquer, oven back again after lacquer coats. polish to shine.

 

Cheaper type usually use fast dry 2-1 type. Faster to complete the layers required. no oven required.

 

Slow drying paints need oven bake to activate & accelerate the hardener.

 

So you see conti cars & jap/Kor cars paint qualities different.

in 2003 my dad sent his 1992 sunny to JB for full respray, rm900, was quite good. even blacken the skirting on their own.

 

dunno whether still got such hang cheng now.
