Wow. Sounds like a 骗吃骗喝 (free-loader). Now all the juicy bits are coming out already with eye-witnesses over his general behaviour in a restaurant and acting high class <_<

Food reviewer? I doubt he can cook a decent 三菜一汤。

This topic is highlighted in today's ST life, page G2.

Public relations manager Melanie Loong, 31, said had invited him to taste the new lunch menu, not brunch. But decided to extend him a brunch invitation out of goodwill.

The original bill of $395.46 was reduced to $237.75 ( bill for two, and a coffee). The semi-a la carte buffet lunch cost $68++. Sensing displeasure, the restaurant's chef, Paul Ng, 33, suggested the blogger and a partner to come back for a meal on his tab, but he was still hostile.

In the end, restaurant, discounting the drinks, bring the bill down to $160.07.

Ms Loong said: "His attitude and what he said - we were quite appalled."

Michelle Pavanello, 32, chef-owner of Italian restaurant Otto said of Mr Lau: "His behaviour is utterly shameless."

The price could actually be bargained downwards. From $395.46 to $237.75 and then finally to $160.07.

Next time, we could go to this restaurant and try to negotiate the price with them when the bill is presented.

For me, if I were the restaurant owner, I would ask them to pay $395.44 in full.

不二价!

normally boss/PR will wanna cool things down.

Apparently, despite free meals for next round by chef, he still do not want buy it cos he wants total waiver on the spot! When it didn't work as he tried for other restaurant (see my above post from a witness on him @ another restaurant), he is totally pissed off.

Just my 2cents.

To me, eating isn't just about food. It's about bringing people together... catching up with your friends and enjoying each other's company. It's the entire experience that does it for me.

I'm really into desserts, it's my favourite part of any meal. As far as food is concerned, I would travel near and far in search of good food. That's why I'm really really excited about being the Foodster! Now all I gotta do is decide who to bring ; ). Who wants to tag along for a free meal?

Why is the blog called ladyironchef when the blogger is clearly not a lady? Is there something he wants to tell us?

maybe he wants to tell us although he is a guy, he can also be real bitchy like a woman.. [laugh][laugh]
