its actually Kopitiam group which brought Wendy's back to SG in 2008

 

Kopitiam group dun really have the good team to run other businesses.

Nothing's good. The food and service is 3rd rate compared to major fast food joints here. Yes, rental and limited workforce is challenging, but McDonalds, KFC, BK and several others managed to stay afloat. So it all boils down to the management - bad hiring, inefficient staff, no quality control, short-term view, want instant profit, no long-term goal, etc. Basically just slap on a logo in front of restaurant and think ppl will come in automatically.

 

Reminds me of certain car distributors...

Agree about the service, a bit slow and the uniform not so smart.

the place also feels a bit dull.

anyway, after their comeback, I only visited once.

Can feel it is lower standard.

look at manulife centre at bras basah...

 

a few years ago it was kopitiam and wendy's side by side.

 

then kopitiam and ramenplay.

 

then kopitiam and din tai fung.

 

now, going to be food republic and din tai fung.

 

just within a few years, the breadtalk group has completely taken over the premises!

Why no one thought of bringing A&W back ? I guess their waffle, hotdogs and root beer float are different from the current offering and so can have a foothold in the fast food industry.

tried the root beer at a&w at batam n not great. Drank the rootbeer from a&w can drink n was much better

Rootbeer taste great when you are a kiddie, but when you grow up, it doesn't taste as good as before. Real beer like Miller is the way to go.
