Mcfguy 1st Gear October 26, 2010 Share October 26, 2010 When I stepped on the brakes, I can see the rear brake lights come on but not the third brake light. Can I safely conclude that it's the bulb that has blown? Thanks. ↡ Advertisement
GLZT 6th Gear October 26, 2010 Share October 26, 2010 Bro, you title abit misleading leh. Why dont you bring it down to WS for a check? Most prob the wire loss or the bulb spoilt. I've seen ppl with all brake lights spoils and the car still look new, its very dangerous for the person at the back.
Mcfguy 1st Gear October 26, 2010 Author Share October 26, 2010 Yes, I just realized the title is missing the word "light". Anyway to change it? My left and right rear brake light is still working. But I understand the need for added safety measure of the 3rd brake light.

The 2 standard brake lights are enough imo. Though you might meet a LTA officer who might to have the same opinion as me.
Leok777 Clutched October 26, 2010 Share October 26, 2010 its necessary to hv 3rd brakelight, mandatory even to tral to bolehland.Btw in response to your problem, I think its most probaby a failed bulb.

I guess the 3rd brake or high mount brake light is more for heavy traffic close distance condition when the driver behind cannot see the rear brake lights due to the close distance.
