Don't see anything wrong with SPC, been using that for as long as i can remember, no issues. In fact Esso felt the worst to me, having had to pump in an emergency.

Fuel is a commodity. It's just a blend of chemicals.

Marketing names like Shell wants to make you think their fuel is better, bcoz it's more expensive (less discount)

Unless the octane of SPC is consistantly lower than what is stated as 92, 95, 98, then there's really no difference...except whether you prefer to eat your chicken rice at the restaurant or at the coffeeshop.

I've been on Esso for 4 yrs, switched to Caltex for 2 yrs, now on SPC for 2 months.

I didn't feel much difference between Esso and Caltex, but on SPC, the car did feel a bit more sluggish.

But calculations on FC shows no difference. :D

after using a particular brand of fuel for a couple of tankful,

chances are you will always feel the car perform

different when you first switch brand.

so dont just take the 1st tank of fuel as a good gauge,

try it for a few more tankful,

believe it got something to do with the engine ECU - adjusting,

pls correct me if I'm wrong.....

Neutral Newbie

petrol is just petrol.. no difference at all.

the only difference is how fat your wallet is... how much are you willingly to fork out...

for me.. i go for the most discount...

haha.. me too, i go for the one with the most discount, i got an esso station outside my house.. but sometimes the discount not good, i just got to SPC..

For me, whoever gives the best discount, i will go out for it. Makes no diff, SPC is not that bad, for my car, i think SPC petrol is more responsive, i don't know why.

I pump only Ron98.. but in short, just pump whichever you like.. haha

The problem with SPC is the discount is based on your previous month spending, so if you switch to another brand for this month, when you go back to SPC the next month, your SPC&U discount drops to 5%. [:(]

have been using SPC from my biking days till now.. only recently due to low fuel and no SPC ard..I pumped caltax 95..

oddly..my FC for that tank is much better then before..

but..ultimately I will still pump SPC..as it offers me the most discount and its right next to my home. :)

I pump SPC 98 when I started driving years back however I switch to Shell Fuelsave 98 sometime last year because of the Vpower promo.

I find that Shell 98 gives a slightly better mileage than SPC. On top of that, there's the Vpower promo. So I guess its much better than SPC
