I dont have a specfic brand and my usual are either Esso/Shell/SPC depending on whichever is nearer to me. So far not much difference in term of performance or FC. Only different is the wallet part [:p]

My ride feels smoother and more power on the v-power racing(only top up in bolehland).

Back here Shell98/Caltex98 will be my choice of all time. Gives me 8.5L/100km

Tried SPC98/Esso98 and my ride seems weaker on the performance compared to the abv 2.

All 95 never gives smooth rides. Engine sounds louder and weaker performance. And gives me 8.7L/100km.

my mileage for v95 and vpower almost the same, slight diff about .5km/l? but does feel smoother for vpower...... havent tried SPC, but i'll prolly stick to Shell, the stations are much easier to locate [laugh]

for diesel i think SPC better than caltex. never tried shell diesel after i read some negative reviews on van forum

I was thinking of trying Shell biodiesel, but maybe...

Caltex diesel is more expensive. I only got 5% discount vs SPC 10%.

The winner is Esso with 19% discount now. [laugh]

hi bro's - can check :

i'm driving a 3 year old mazda 2; was previously pumping Shell fuelsave 98 and would clock 14km/l. In my recent two pumps back, i changed to Spc 95 and realized i clocked 12.3km/l, and the last pump i realized 10.7km/l. While my calculation is based on dividing the km on my odometer divide by fuel pumped to the max of my tank (which may have small margin of error);

could i find out

(1) did anyone see a big fuel consumption drop changing from fuelsave 98 to spc 95?

or do u think it's due to driving road conditions?

to be honest....

my oc did a blind test on me.

i failed miserably.

she told me she pumped V power .... then i said "No WONDER!!! more powerful"

she showed me the receipt.... it says SPC95.

maybe the pump attendant at SPC pump 1-3litre more after the first auto stop "click", whereas shell attendant just stopped after first click?

I have done a test previously on Ron92 before heading to NSH and comply 3/4 tk rule.

Once in NSH ,my car did not have the energy (BTU) to hit paper spec. I do not feel the sluggish only up to 170 & above.

Once I pump the Ron97 along the way, my speed has no problem hitting the paper spec.

Theoritically, the BTU/energy is required to power your car for max hp

even with three same brand of 98 & 95 will give you different fc...

Ummmm, that could explain why I never get to hit 180km/h previously with Spc95 but I did that recently with levo 95... [laugh]

I guess in SIN, the Ron 95 and 98 will not make any diff. Most of our car always idling at traffic light.

Worst, start and stop at traffic light in urban driving.

Contrary, Ron 98 should have better control combustion (engine) compare to Ron 95.

Try driving to KL from JB maintain speed close to 110km/hr. See the diff.

This only qualify for driver checking on fuel consumption on highway. Speedster not qualify this statement
