If itchy wanna add aircons on 2nd and 3rd, is it doable? I mean, its gotta be 3rd party right? Now does this void the car's warranty ?

2nd row aircon is already available, but not strong. I doubt u can fix 3rd row aircon, as it is not in the option list.

From VWSG brouchure,

the daytime running lights is std for base and sports versions.

I remember xenon + LED lights is $3.8K. My $2K includes cruise control, multifunction leather steering wheel + hand brake + gearshift knob in leather, and front fog lights with fixed bending light. LED is not in the basic model bro.

Went to check... yep u r right. In the option list, it says xenon + LED daylight running lights. So I am not sure what kind of daylight running lights I will get. The test drive model looks normal to me, no LEDs. Anyway, the brochure has typo errors. It stated that base model has front seat drawers (indicated as '*'), that means sports model don't have (sports model specs denoted by '**').

most probably if both MPVs are out of warranty. however, VW provides free servicing including parts and labour up to 45k (that's 3 years for me) so i have 1 less thing to worry.

i may have mentioned this in another thread before but conti rides usually has a longer service interval - in this case, 15k for touran compared to 10k for most jap MPVs not forgetting some may require 1k and 5k servicing too.

assume average servicing bill for a jap MPV to be $150 (10k), $250 (20k) and $150 (30k) i.e. total $550.

the conti equivalent could be $250 (15k) and $400 (30k) so the difference may not be that significant.

what i like is i cut on the waiting time and cab fare as i only need to visit the service centre once a year instead of every 8 months. i have friends who takes annual leave to service their car and leave is money too, right?

45k km.. is like slightly 1 yr plus for me.. jap MPV 10k servicing less than 100 la...

talking about after warranty... most servicing labour bills don't differ much.. it's significant if you change parts... Conti parts seem to cost more than jap parts.

just imho.. cheers

hmmm.. just a thought..

3-5 yrs later... We'll see Tourans as many as we see Wishes and Streams on the 2nd hand markets now.

that's when I'll change my mpv when COE expires... kekeke

Impt part is does it void the car warranty and insurance in case accident?

A review at Asia1.

Confirmed on the daytime running lights but no pics on that. There's pics on the rear lights though.

Much more cool than the previous version. A bit like eyes staring at you in the night.

Positive review overall but still some doubts on the 7 DSG?

I read this morning's papers about the new VW Touran.

I'm utterly impressed with VW!

priced below 100k with such ridiculous COE price, i have to say that VW is doing the best job currently in the market.

not only the price, consider the features packed in the touran.

7 speed DSG.

1.4 TURBO.

0-100 under 10sec.

7 seater

audio controls on steering wheels blah blah

This is a winner.

road tax cheap.

FC friendly.

7 seater

Continental

cheap price high COE, HIGH paper value.

to be frank, if i had not purchased my odyssey last year at 96k (low COE)..... this is the one i'm definitely getting.

But bro , your Oddyssey is much more spacious..

Very good sales reported in the papers....over 150 units sold.

Looks like CatA Coe is going to fly up up away!!

Conti cars will shine in 2011 onwards.

think got to do with the more competitive pricing due to the lower euro and the raising yen. And for VW, the direct sale with a better offer than the previous dealer.
