What if a police patrol car (not TP) is cruising on expressway lane 1 at 90km?

 

Do you overtake him via lane 2?

 

Yes I have done that a few times.

Apologies for hijacking this thread.

Just encountered this Merc B class driver road hogging on the PIE.

He was going at most 90kmh on the overtaking lane and going the same speed as the middle lane.

Road condition was pretty clear.

I overtook him from the left lane after realizing he was not going to give way.

But this brilliant driver sped up on purpose to stop me from overtaking.

Then he started chasing and tailgating me over 100kmh.

To the Merc B class driver on PIE exiting at Eunos at 5pm - you sir are a bloody idiot.

Grow up.

I bet u never see from 90km/hr to 50km/hr.

I mean PIE speed limit 80km/h where the camera installed. Some drivers braked from 80kmh/ to 70km/h. Could be among reasons more accidents around the Kampong Chantek vicinity

Just encountered this Merc B class driver road hogging on the PIE.

I believe all of us appreciate and very thankful if you report such observation to the Authority. You help make the roads safer for us. Many thanks.

However, if you are kidding with us, this is ticklish. Your driving on Lane 1 when you should be driving in Lane 2 is inappropriate just like that Merc B driver you mentioned. Can share with us what brilliance you appreciate of that driver if he was road-hogging? Can share with us why you have such respect of people you describe as bloody idiot?

Happen to me once, BKE 1-2am, P-Plate weekend on lane 1 slowed from 70km/hr to 50km/hr.

Already jogging the road and see camera slow down so much.

give way when someone is faster than you, unless traffic is congested and you are already very near to the car in front

Definitely will if the car didn't purposely tail gate me sooo close!!! The more someone tails me, the slower i will go . Moral of the story , you wouldn't expect anything or prove anything at all if you tail gate.

110Km/hr is acceptable levels for MOST TP expect for camera.

Don't understand why that so many others so kiase MUST maintain speed limit.

FYI, Speed Cams towards Changi had been removed donkey years ago.

However, not many aware and hog at first lane at 70~80km/hr when I need to bypass them in other lanes.

If towards Suntec, allowance is the normal 18km/hr.

 

pls dun let those kiasi see this, if not wait they drive 18km/k in lane 1 [sweatdrop][laugh]

Forget about it. Today from ecp to aye jurong, to and fro I encounter at least 8 hoggers. Looks like it's a lazy sat today

 

sometimes on my lazy days, i will stay in lane 2 n relac cruise to my destination, no stress. on more adventurous days, i will look for hoggers [sly]

Nope ... Sincerely dun think keeping a 3/4 car length road hogging .

 

I don't think you were road hogging if you were blocked by the car in front.

Though driving 3/4 car length sounds dangerously close at that speed and tailgating to me.

Personally I would just overtake from the left - don't like it but safer than tailgating.

I need to add that the others could be calling you a road hogger if both you and car in front were blocking the Mazda if you guys had a chance to filter left.

No full picture so we don't know.
