Yes, I have a similar makita HR2470.

Important thing is that it's a rotary hammer, not a normal hammer drill.

This one will make holes in concrete easily, even the ceiling.

 

Check that it uses SDS drill bits. Which means you need to buy the correct bit

It's not that expensive, just a couple of bucks and can be used for a long time.

yes you need rotary hammer drill that takes SDS drill bits. can easily punch thru any concrete. makes the world of difference in getting the job done.

 

Key words are Rotary and SDS.

this is long and maybe clumsy for long drilling time as both hands are needed.

As also bought this for most of the concrete drilling.
