Dgeralds 1st Gear February 6, 2011 Share February 6, 2011 Just fined by Certis Cisco at outside Compass Point. Offence: "600070 - (LV) PARK AT UNBROKEN DOUBLE YELLOW LINES UNDER RULE E 22(b) RTR". There is nothing behind the offence notice but it says that the Traffic Offence will be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle in due course. Can any of you give me the email address so that I can try to appeal? Where should I write to? Traffic Police? LTA? I think its $70 fine. I left 2 passenger inside the car with hazard light on and went to fetch my old aged mother and took about about 3 minutes. Attendant spoke to the passenger to drive and when the passenger said that she is not confident to drive, he immediately issued a summon. I wanted to go into the shooping centre car park but it was full and cars were queueing outside. Yes it is my mistake but I would like to appeal. Thank you. ↡ Advertisement

Just 5 min also gotcha...i think these certis ppl hiding somewhere and waiting for all the parents to park at the road side and then jump on them. LTA didn't provide parking bay to wait for kids at school...so what to expect.... Can we appeal??
Lanevomax 1st Gear February 6, 2011 Share February 6, 2011 good luck with the appeal. i had learnt my lesson before, $70 without discount even with appeal. send your passenger to do the job , driver must be inside the car. if passengers refuse , park inside car park within 10 mintues usually under grace period which is free better than a gamble of $70 within 10mintues. sad to say , you are unlucky. Hamburger Hypersonic February 6, 2011 Share February 6, 2011 my friend got summoned by a malay cisco warden just outside the temple on CNY eve, together with a whole stretch of cars along it. Now hows that.... Obviously, there is a fine line between insensitivity and stupidity.

Now hows that.... Obviously, there is a fine line between insensitivity and stupidity. Please appeal for this seems an unfair practice... I thought that these cases are handled with extreme sensitivity? Agree, that idiot has crossed the line... Now hows that.... Obviously, there is a fine line between insensitivity and stupidity. FYI, they also summon cars parked for friday prayers. And they are malay officers. What does that say? So it is not a race or religion issue. Just a parking offence issue. CNY or Hari Raya or whatever if you park illegally be prepared to get fined. However, if member of public deliberately call and complain about illegal parking, they have no choice but to take action. This is not written in black and white, but known thru observation... It's quite unlucky to kena - but can try and appeal .

Darthrevan Supercharged February 6, 2011 Share February 6, 2011 (edited) if anyone feels strongly abt illegal parking..just keep calling and complain..best is take photos of the cars, then time and see how long they respond..together we can make a difference to reduce illegal parking Edited February 6, 2011 by Darthrevan

Why do you want to appeal when you are wrong? It may be 3 minutes, but you wouldn't say the same when someone park their car on a double yellow and then either block up or slow down the traffic. Although I don't have mood when I drive, but sometimes I see road jammed up, and then wonder what happen. Only to see some inconsiderate drivers park illegally and then block up the traffic at the front. I wonder why would people want to inconvenient other drivers simply for their own convenience? Isn't it better to inconvenient himself (which is one person) then to inconvenient many of other drivers? Really don't understand how could people even do it. Tireburner 3rd Gear February 6, 2011 Share February 6, 2011 If all drivers issued with summons wrote in appealing against the fine with giving family as an explanation, this would defeat the purpose of issuing the summon in the first place. The Cisco warden saw your car was occupied with passengers. His superior would have to support his subordinate if not he would look like a dick. Besides, by parking on the road side itself is an selfish act even if it's less than a minute, endandering the lives of other motorists not to mention the lives of the passengers while waiting for the driver. ↡ Advertisement
