Silver_blade Turbocharged February 13, 2011 Share February 13, 2011 I didn't notice any diff in car's performance and FC on those cooler days. Maybe cos I wasn't pushing my car to the limit or trying achieve best 0-100 timing. ↡ Advertisement

Yeshe Turbocharged February 13, 2011 Share February 13, 2011 Since when is Singapore cold? I got experience the wiper fluid frozen, wiper cannot move, window cannot wind down, even door need cow strength to open before. You need to stop to use the ice scrapper every few hours of driving as the windscreen get freeze over time. But that was fun, good experiences. But I do missed the sub 23degC Singapore. :( i thought u should turn on the heater and blow on the windscreen?
Yeshe Turbocharged February 13, 2011 Share February 13, 2011 Whose car is affected by the hot weather? Example...fc goes down, power goes down...sluggish. Maybe mine is 1.5l niah so quite affected by it. Otherwise...it is shiok...when the weather is cool...a lot of difference. Who experience or feel the same? if weather can affect your FC, tat means u must be really light footed hope u drive on the left lane
Phluvcat 6th Gear February 13, 2011 Author Share February 13, 2011 if weather can affect your FC, tat means u must be really light footed hope u drive on the left lane ermm...u will be surprised I am on the 1st lane a lot of time There is no need to gas heavily and wait for the car to catch up, instead I try to match what the car roughly can do at that throttle position so that I dun waste unnecessary fuel. I usually accelerate a bit hard but dun floor the throttle, once hit the desired speed, just feather to maintain speed. For a 15 year old car with N.A. engine, I still can achieve around 14km/l but hot weather har...12.5km/l to 13km/l. So you are wrong man.

Cause I think if you do not calculate it base on per week or per month basis, it wont be consistent. In Singapore, we dont get any cool everyday month or hot everyday month, maybe in the past we do. But now the weather keep fluctuate every few days.
Kiadaw 6th Gear February 13, 2011 Share February 13, 2011 i thought u should turn on the heater and blow on the windscreen? Thats what I did. Bull blast. If I didn't, it may be worst. Anyway, when I finally get the wiper fluid warm enough to work, it turned out ok. You will still need to scrap the windscreen if you parked outside when you started the car. Its not a big of a deal. Anyway, I posted some picture here meh. Winter driving
Kiadaw 6th Gear February 13, 2011 Share February 13, 2011 if weather can affect your FC, tat means u must be really light footed hope u drive on the left lane You can get good FC if you don't on the aircon, & keep the window close. But there is little chance of doing this in Singapore. Last time, I kiasu. I will turn the aircon off, 5 minutes before I reach my destination, to save FC. Maybe mine is 1.5l niah so quite affected by it. Otherwise...it is shiok...when the weather is cool...a lot of difference. Who experience or feel the same? Its normal. Every car will feel more sluggish in hot weather (unless your car super big CC). Its due to the air. Engine takes in hotter air will make less power. Worse FC as well. When air is hot, ECU will pull back timing and alter A/F ratio to prevent detonation/pinging.
13177 Hypersonic February 13, 2011 Share February 13, 2011 There is only hot, or very hot in Singapore. Any way, 22 deg C is about as good as it gets here liao lah. Cannot compare with other temperate country. 22 deg is like summer mid day temperature in some countries, on the hottest month. You r right. For sg whole year hot weather, even the temp can reach 22-23 deg also very cooling lo. As really cannot compare with other countries temp, as now i know even county which temp is btw 10-20 deg also not consider very cold, esp if u experience in countries during winter time temp is super super cold! ↡ Advertisement
