Basically, this is what happened. I come from a pretty well-off family. My father inherited his wealth from my grandfather but typically, if one should question his road to success, he will claim it is all due to his hardwork and higher than normal aptitude - totally leaving out my grandfather who strived to provide him with the foundation and the many directors and old birds who assisted him. They are nowhere near his business now as most are dead or retired(For a wide variety of reasons and old age is rarely the reason.) All our relatives, friends and neighbours are envious of our wealth. Some even look at us with green eyes and bad mouth us because we are rich. But we do not bother because we spend lots of money on security guards and security devices. Recently, my dad somehow get the impression that we do not respect him as much as before and he fell into bad company and got brainwashed into thinking these bad ppl can strengthen our family foundation and grow our family. He frequently invite strangers and hoodlums over to eat and drink for free. These leeches have no shame at all. They leech for free but scold and demean my father and the rest of our family. But my father is happy. He loves them so much he don't mind being sh!t upon whereas us, his flesh and blood, have to endure his constant beatings and scoldings everytime we contradict one of his many directives and orders. My home although having lots of rooms and pretty spacious, has recently become a sardine can. Everywhere I go, I will bump into strangers and hoodlums who don't even belong here. I have no room to breath and instead of becoming a melting pot of culture sharing, it has become nothing more than a sh!t pot of over crowding piranahas. The ultimatum came when my dad decided to build a nice swimming pool in order to entertain our many leeching guests. He allows his guests to use the pool for free and at anytime of the day. Whereas his children are adviced to stay away from the pool. The lame reason being he was afraid of us drowning. What do you think of such a father? Ya, but then it's abit too hush to openly condemn kids infront of guest. Kids also have feelings. The rest still okay left the condemn part. But then think back, dad should relax abit. If outsiders come and others enjoy, let their kids enjoy too la. Must cut some slack, if not kids will go crazy one.
