These were the only "branded" shoes in canvas which could pass off as school shoes. Especially in high cut which was the coolest thing. High cuts were actually disallowed in my stupid school But in upper sec as we wear long pants so i always got away with chuck taylor high cuts. The color was more beigy than white and I remember that we used shoe whitening liquid to paint over them before being able to wear them to school. I still have a pair of Converse chuck taylors in black somewhere in the storeroom.
