I think you meant sprint. Anywhere, you are right. You should drive predictable in traffic, which means accerate/decerate, change lane progressively.

In Singapore, many people have the habit when they see an "opening" on the other lane, like to filter in to gain some place or time. Unless you have all lanes clear, any spirited acceration (within speed limit) can potiential lead to accident.

Franky, if you are a responsible driver, there really isn't many places that you can drive spiritedly. You drive in neighbourhood/crowded city streets, you never know when someone will pop out to the road, you drive in Espressway, the traffic are usually heavy, & they made up like 99% of the raod in Singapore.

Unless you are trackie, or like to go MY for spirited drives, its pretty wasteful to have a fast car in Singapore, imo.

That's why i like mini car with big pwr in SG. Can chiet a lot of cars on the road. Anyway, i met with a kuku driver who filter into my lane 2 w/o realising i m driving @ 100km/h. Really feel like to f that driver with continuos horn.

Currently, i am only eyeing 130 (THE pocket rocket) because it is THE only car in this class with RWD.

RWD + short wheelbase + powderful engine = H O T

high speed driving is not really 'feasible' on sgp roads, speed cam being one of the reasons.

what i sometimes enjoy is entering the expressway from a slip road during off peak hours, check (with my head turn back, not just using the mirror) that there's no cars say 400m behind on the e'way, and the nearest front cars are 100m ahead, floor it and cut across 3 lanes to join the right most lane...... it's almost like coming out from a corner into the main straight on track!! ........ in a short distance reaching 140kmh, could have been faster but by then would have caught up with the cars in front .......... after that just cruise (with little throttle) and slow down to legal speed limit........ cheap thrill, but better than nothing :D:D

Kiadaw, I am jelly [:p]

Don't worry about the racist problem, where are you going to be stationed in? Hesse? Rhineland? From my short stint in Baden-Wurttemberg no racist problem (or at least I didn't encounter any), society is much more open, gracious, and mind-your-own-business (not like the finger-pointing, kiasu kiasi, STOMP-ing culture in sgp) than Singapore, the graciousness is what struck me the most

All nice cars you looking at, I got no opinion, all are good, but inclined towards a BMW more, diesel would be better because although same (or slightly more expensive) price than petrol (or as they say, Benzin Blei frei [laugh] ) at least the FC will even it out, or become even more economic,

whatever it is, all the best, all things go through, and don't forget to share your experiences on mcf! [wave]

KR,

Kenny
