Car swerves, flips and explodes on PIE

Most likely brake too hard round the corner causing the skids/lost of control. Even if got ABS or ABS activated, it will still skid if the braking force is greater than what the tyre/road condition can take. ABS is not a skid-proof device.

Most likely it's an automatic.

Wad i could think which most likely happen was: She swerve the car from middle lane to the right lane very sharply...

However, cos it's a turn, most likely she brake...

Thus when she brake, most likely brake too hard...Thus the rear wheels are locked...

As a result, "drifting" occurs and the accident happen

erm.. above quoted from a commotion i saw at West Coast Plaza.. if you all know the carpark layout (it is F-up), the lady was taking like 5 tries at a parallel parking lot.. -_-

Did she gave up in the end ?

Another aunty more stylo. After we parked our car along Syed Alwi Rd, she stopped and tell us to guide her into the parallel parking lot..

haha... not the drift car.. lol.. What I mean is lost control that kind if skid..

hahaha...u misunderstand my response, i think u barely understand woman..hehehe....sometime they say/think one thing but they do another thing....this fits nicely to the driver that she think of driving to the right but she steer to the left....

If skid, I think only traction control will help, ABS just to prevent wheels from locking from hard braking. But if this Vios were to skid, either the tyres weren't properly inflated, maintained or the driver really lost control of the car. From the way she describes it, is like pushing the blame on the car than herself...

Another scenario... if she was trying to change to lane 2 from lane 1, but found another car in lane 2. It could be that the car was trying to overtake her from the left.

And why does anyone need to overtake from the left? - BECAUSE THE CAR IN FRONT IS ROAD HOGGING!

she managed to go in.. but the guy in front of me screwed her.. cos i believe he managed his time too well for the 30mins block and this aunty spoilt his calculations..

then she stepped out and shove a license into the passenger window of the guy..

tigress.. [crazy]

(edited)

1) The car swung from one end of the road to the other end without hitting another car

ie. there was no car close behind her. Likely, she is a lot faster than the cars behind, well above speed limit

2) She had to avoid a car in the middle lane in the *front*

She is also faster than the cars in front, probably so much faster she didnt even see a car in front in the next lane

3) That part of the road is a rather sharp bend to the left and she was changing lane to the left and she was braking, probably too hard.

As many has said, this is the recipe for the wheels to lock up and skid. It is consistent with her description of car going left while she steered right. Again, she is probably speeding or there is no need to brake so hard.

I'm amazed why so many said she is road hogging. I guess it is guilty conscience at work. Speeding cannot be the problem. It must be road hogging.

[laugh][laugh] Good try, bro... but no dice.

This is 55 year old auntie involved in SAFETY department in her company... unlikely to be speeding... profile fits of road hogging auntie who change lanes without due care or concern....

Catholic churches also got molest. Monks also can commit crime. Police also can take coffee money. I'm not saying she was speeding, but I don't rule that out just coz she's from some safety department

Its always another driver or person that causes her to swerve and flip 3 times then resulting in a ball of flames. But never because of her poor driving skills.

Macaam stunt woman lor, all the flippings and the ball of fire!

how fast was she traveling prior to the accident?

what actions did she take when prior to the accident?

After the incident, Miss Zac felt it was fortunate that someone else was not using the car.

She said: "My brother and my roommate's son wanted to use the car, but I needed to borrow a fishing rod from my brother-in-law, so I was the one using the car. It's a good thing no one got hurt."

If somebody else used the car, there would have been no accident.

If she is so confident that's it is the car's fault, why doesn't she file a lawsuit for alot of compensation?

If foot brake is not working, I will just pull handbrake and disengage engine.

Regards,

that will induce a oversteer situation. quite dangerous if the car swings and then impacts on its' side.

to disengage the engine is a correct move though.

but only helps if there's distance, slow enough speed etc.
