Evaluation of Sundown 42.195km:

- Weather was humid. No wind even along ecp.

- The link between Tanjong Rhu and Fort Rd was dusty & dull.

- Last 2 km seems longer than it is.

Understand most didn't achieve their PB... ^_^

Had to agree on u, but kudos for those at ecp cheering n giving out foods n help.

My fren's son hit his pb by 1hr from his last pb, so glad on him.

Also interesting quote, I had my son before I started running about 10 yrs back. But when I began running and especially 4 years ago, which was my most 'on the ball training', I had my daughter.

Male runners are more likely to have daughters

The tanjong rhu stretch and below Sheares bridge are bottleneck.

After fort road about 30plus km onwards till the barrage no water to drink at all.

I agreed on the bottleneck & waterless totally!

I was very fortunate to have gotten a bottle of water at somewhere between 28-30km and I have since carried it till end pt. [:p]

Today, ST Mind your body has a 12 wks program for marathon training.

12 weeks only to prepare for marathon? What's the level of fitness it assumes for starting point?

Only three weeks left for my half - nowhere near ready [:(]

It depends on 1 self.

I ran HK marathon this year with training no longer than 12km in preparation. The only thing i did diligently is gym training with a trainer twice a wk. Since trainer knows i m going for marathon, a lot of emphasis is put on endurance and lower body strength training.

I was able to run continuously up to km 28. From thereon, there is a lot of walk/run.

Havent jog in the gym for years! But I tried that last night.

Do you know that if the PSI is above 300, some gyms halt all activities?
