I agreed on the bottleneck & waterless totally! I was very fortunate to have gotten a bottle of water at somewhere between 28-30km and I have since carried it till end pt. inlinesix Hypersonic June 11, 2013 Share June 11, 2013 12 weeks only to prepare for marathon? What's the level of fitness it assumes for starting point? Only three weeks left for my half - nowhere near ready It depends on 1 self. I ran HK marathon this year with training no longer than 12km in preparation. The only thing i did diligently is gym training with a trainer twice a wk. Since trainer knows i m going for marathon, a lot of emphasis is put on endurance and lower body strength training. I was able to run continuously up to km 28. From thereon, there is a lot of walk/run.
