Like earlier u say it happen in full auto mode. What the hell is full auto mode???? Pple ask u how long u driving n u say on the road fr 10 years. 10 years on the road is driving this car for 10 years or got licence fr 10 years n drive occasionally. If u want help, try to b more clear as what u r trying to say. BTW dont mind me asking if u r a guy or ger? Edited July 28, 2011 by Pisces69
Pisces69 6th Gear July 28, 2011 Share July 28, 2011 Yes. I don't face the shudder if I gas it more.. but was just wondering if there is really a problem as I don't recall having the need to gas more for my previous rides. Auto car is not supposed to jerk in any gear. I think u need an experienced BMW mech to give yr car a test drive to know what is wrong. Can b so many things. All also is guessing only. Get it professionally checked. Yr car is how old n u just buy or last time no problem n only recently it start?
Pisces69 6th Gear July 28, 2011 Share July 28, 2011 (edited) I forget to add that its an auto car. Been driving this car for a year plus, and only 7-8months ago it starts to have such a problem. Sounds like carbon build-up. Just go for an Italian tune-up n see how. Edited July 28, 2011 by Pisces69

Otoko Neutral Newbie July 30, 2011 Share July 30, 2011 i have similar issue with my 90' MB one fine day when going back home~ started car no prob, engaged D to move off but car jerking at every gear & unable to go up 80 even flooring pedal~ no choice but managed to slowly roll below 60 to mech from CCK to bukit timah~ funny that engine doesnt die at idle despite choking when moving off. fault found was the spark plug connectors due to wear tear, changed it with new plugs & it was fixed~
Azztinn89 Neutral Newbie July 31, 2011 Share July 31, 2011 i had a similiar problem, but mine was just plain ridiculous. my car would jerk occasionally, especially if i try to accelerate too much too fast. sent my car for inspection for around 3 times, spent around 4-5k in 'repairs' changed many spare parts. even the gear box the guy say change this and that would solve the problem. few hours later the problem will come back. finally changed car repair shop. they took the car for 2 days, said they will 'strip' the car inside out. finally they found that there was a screw stuck inside the valve that pumps the petrol in. causing irregular petrol being pumping into the engine. resulting in the jerks. guess it was the previous mechanic who dropped a screw in there. wasted my money. So the previous mechanic caused the problem n made a small forture out of u in doing so. Sounds like many workshops here in SG. Now the hard part is to prove he did it n on purpose. Yeobh 4th Gear July 31, 2011 Share July 31, 2011 If they have check the fuel flow and pressure with the right tools they could have detect the problem within hours. Most shop productivity are very low due lack of knowledge on systematic troubleshooting and use of specialty testers.
Azztinn89 Neutral Newbie July 31, 2011 Share July 31, 2011 the first mechanic was at the caltex along ang mo kio ave 1. the one opposite bishan park. after i finally got the problem fixed, i pumped at that station, and coincidentally met that bugger. he saw me and quickly walked off. obviously guilty. if i not wrong that caltex is closed already. hope that cheating mechanic don't go to somewhere to cheat people. Yeobh 4th Gear March 18, 2012 Share March 18, 2012 (edited) Looks like there are many of the so call mech need to attend this course to upgrade themselves. For season mechs who have not much knowledge on troubleshooting and used of specialty tools, they should join this international tech forum/grouping to further improve themselves.
