Giant having promotion for Mobil oil again

bro, did u walk to the end of the section? they recently revamped their layout. the engine oil sale is split in two sections. 1 on the right (after car accesssories) for schnell. M1 is all the way dead straight, where they used to display body foam. Directions as per walking in fm entrance.

my car handbook stated 5w30.....................I use 5w20...............went to KL....PD .......all no problem.................just came back from PD two weeks back with a 5w20 oil which is 11000km old.............boh daiji............ [laugh]

 

I using one grade lower viscosity as well but I just find it too thin while checking the EO level.

 

My experience with one grade lower doesn't increase FC. Anyway I still have a lot of green cap left, will use it during yr end

the problem with me is i never use 5w30 at all..............last time ws use 5w40.........and when I changed to 5w20 ...................fc did improve by abt 10%..........and yes..............oil appear thinner............but no lost of oil so far lor.............even after 12000km..........just engine get rougher abit............. [laugh]

 

since you still have.................just use lah...............

Not sure about recommended how many mths to change but for fully syn oil, 15k km should not pose any prob if mostly highway, if always in jam, best to change around 8k km.

when EO was selling like $20-$30 /L, many stretched it to 12-13K km.

 

Now that we can get it between $5 - $12/L, yet still want to stretch svc interval.

 

Maybe it is good to consider normal mineral EO, and change it at 5K KM.

 

My last few EO change is between 8-9k km.

For this type of high speed high rev driving, i would suggest you use Mobil EP instead due to it's increase doses of anti-wear additives.
