You might be right, my Lexus was my longest owning car ever too, about 5.5yrs. :D

 

the rest avg 2-3yrs.

 

But unlikely for me for now.

Although it was an aspiration, I don't want to own just any Merc that is a commonplace model. The CLS will be nice but as a salary man I don't think I can afford.

I think this Lexus can be the car that I can own for the longest time.. at least 5 years

I was open to settle for Nx200t during my SUV shopping stint. Nx200t is a decent car with good factory equipment level, especially their Luxury/F-sport version. Almost ready to commit after the test drive if they show sincerity in the deal.

Deal breakers:

1) Low ball their own Lexus GS450h, when I asked why so low, they have cheek to say because it is not easy to resell this car.

2) Asked if got loyalty discount, they grudgingly give $500

3) told them my company (am one of the business owner) buys toyota vans from them, they given another $500 discount.

 

Come on..... we are talking about a >200K car and you make me seem like I am asking for scraps from you?

 

I took my business to C&C despite having to pay almost 20k more and wait for 7 months.

 

Bro, jus curious, did they offer $30k off list price for the car u looking at?

Yes about 25-30k off list. Cannot remember exactly, was 1 year ago.

Before you go buy these generic sealing strips.

 

Look in Taobao for dust/sound sealing strips customised just for ur IS. They have one for every model

You can search these key words:

BM got a lot of loyal customers lah. Dun forget they hv a pipeline of potential buyers next door. Lose 1 customer, but gain 5 new ones eager to upgrade to a L badge still win

Thats true for BM. Their aftersales reli good. As long as your vehicle service with them thru out even when warranty lapse, they will try to claim for you as best as they can.

 

My dad kenna for his RX350, the engine gt some problem after 200,000 km. They juz give replacement car for him to drive then replace the whole engine. No question asked cos he alw svc the car at BM.

Thats true for BM. Their aftersales reli good. As long as your vehicle service with them thru out even when warranty lapse, they will try to claim for you as best as they can.

My dad kenna for his RX350, the engine gt some problem after 200,000 km. They juz give replacement car for him to drive then replace the whole engine. No question asked cos he alw svc the car at BM.

I bet they have an internal ranking system for the top revenue generating BM customer.

 

Membership has it's priviledges.

 

I am not worthy.

The 30k discount is very opaque. Some get full, some get less, maybe some didn't get. Maciam go Sim Lim, depend on bargaining power. Only thing is no need to kneel n beg....
