FNA is ~117k now, exceeds my budget ð

And my wife feels that FNA is too big for her. She is used to driving a sedan and XV is a jump for her though it shld be easier to drive coz higher Haha.

Perhaps I shld rephrase whether the XV boot could fit 2 strollers since my kids will be inside the car.

That depends on the size of the strollers you are buying

@Nubie hi may I know the price quoted to you for the XV?

@Fido2385

Of course! List price is 105.8K. Minus 2k for existing stock (can only check the availability after I decide). Loan is 2.68 per annum for 60% loan. 2.78 if ur taking 30k for one year. Additional penalty of 1.5k if u pay in cash (which I would rather take 30k loan then).

I understand that the SE needs to earn commission from my loan. Just find it funny as it contradicts with the Govt policy to have lesser debts Haha

Running out of allowable posts for today Haha

@Nubie Thanks for the detailed information bro! Looks like they have increased the list price by a fair bit(due to increase in coe). Was at the showroom 2 biddings ago, was 101.8k.

Looks like have to continue monitoring haha

Thanks everyone for their inputs! Donno why I can't praise your comments.

Does anyone knows the difference between

the existing stock in 2015 compared to the face-lift Jan 2016 model? The SE told me that those are minor changes. I tried to googling but could not find the comparison. Could anyone pls share?

I was hopeful that the coe will drop with the additional quotes but with Grab and rumours of the current taxi coys might also do the same, I don't feel so confident now Haha.

Actually I don't need the car urgently. Would it be advisable if I go for non guaranteed price and see where the market goes?

Hi everybody. Is it normal that the SE will only share the possible discounts and freebies (front, back camera, etc) when u decide on the car? Test drove the XV last Sunday and the SE said can only reveal when I confirm.

Not true, went down today & test drove the XV. Afterwhich sat down with the SE and she gave a breakdown and listed out all the discounts that can be offered to me, I did not have to commit anything. The discounted price is really tempting! Decision decisions....

Make SE work for his money.  Ask him to list out and show you - either with the new model in showroom and/or with photos.

Most changes are minor changes in looks but some say have additional sound insulation.  Sound insulation change hard to tell unless sit in both older and newer version.  Main change in looks are chrome L shape around fog lights, LED in rear lights, steel rim design slight change "flower petals" now at an angle rushing forward, side mirrors now have turn arrows display thru the mirror surface when you switch on turn signal, interior trim now have black cum silver trim pieces - previously was just silver; leather stitching change from previous white to orange colour etc...

Still able to buy pre-facelift model? How much more discount for that?

I'm not very sure if there's any bros who chose Guaranteed COE here..... most went Non-guaranteed.

I'll share what I got:

Listed price: 101,800

Got it at 99 800, 1k discount after. Tried to bring it low, but SE dint budge.

6 bid Guaranteed got it on the 2nd Bid

Freebies:

  • Front sensors paid by SE.
  • Marbella N52 GPS.
  • Black Vue Front dash cam.
  • Extra set XV mats.
  • Resin Cargo Step Panel, with Subaru Words.
  • Visors

I took 30% loan at 2.48% p.a, car show offer, just to prevent paying the 1.5k penalty.

Drive: Almost to my 5k servicing soon. Loving it.

SE: Shes really nice, till now I can still ask for info. Very good and professional.

@jp2000 thanks for sharing! I plan to return to the showrooms this weekend with my parents to try if the car is sufficient to take 3 persons at the back. Just want to know if there are any significant changes if existing stock refers to the pre faced lift.

@flanforever I check for u if there are any. But i would think that its better to go for the new face lift version though is it just me.. So non guaranteed is the way to go? Meaning that I should be able to get my coe if coe drops. Else, it will be a long wait..

Nubie, i doubt they are still selling the pre face lift. it just that the present stocks that they have they may sell it at a cheaper price.i believe sld be face lift stocks. With the present fluctuations in COE and urgency .. you may consider guaranteed.  but i guess it depends on ur needs.
