Throttle2 Supersonic January 2, 2012 Share January 2, 2012 Yep. I did. It's my daily beater. Was looking for a white face and realized that there aren't many that look nice (to me, at least and within my budget). Probably look for a black/ non white face next and with some other functions in a couple of years time. Somehow I keep coming back to Rollies. Maybe the resale value has something to do with it, not that I intend to sell but if I want to pass it to someone, I feel better if I know it has some value. I'm eyeing the Daytona but that will only happen if I'm earning significantly more and after I have bought a home in SG. Zenith (the older models before Nataf) also appealed with its EP movement but I don't like the direction they took since Nataf. Pity, the brand could have been developed differently. Happy New Year to you and your family! oh, you are single and not married yet? i always thought you were already married. good timing to buy a property in the nex few years. while i do like the Crown, i am totally unimpressed by its current line of ugly designs...so i will only go for the old models. i hope they dont lose their direction and just chase the money. (chinese money at that) sigh...
Yeshe Turbocharged January 2, 2012 Share January 2, 2012 wow you mean the cert is $500? there and about, for rolex it doesn't affect the price that much, but for other makes like PAM, AP, etc. without cert the price is easily 20% lower

Yes, the recent Crown models CMI. I feel the SD looks better than the DSSD. The new YM looks way too tacky compared to the older YM.

Throttle2 Supersonic January 2, 2012 Share January 2, 2012 What is pinhole? Sorry, new in this. Anyway, how much new? Thanks pin holes are actually lug holes. these are the holes on the lugs of the case which allow springbars to attach. older models have lugholes which are bore through. ipersonally find these really attractive and tough looking on a Rolex. these are known as rolex with pin holes newer models have lugholes which are not bore through. so the watch looks cleaner and more elegant. these are known as Rolex without pinholes.
