Maz0608 3rd Gear February 6, 2012 Share February 6, 2012 The time it took me to park my car - walk into the showroom - view and molest the new civic - back into my car again, 3 minutes. I had wanted to visit the showroom one of these days to view the new civic. Seems like I can give it a miss afterall.
Coaxialcable Neutral Newbie February 6, 2012 Share February 6, 2012 No more K20Z engine for the 2.0L civic? I tend to agree that it's looking more mature than the pervious generation FD.
Eyke Supercharged February 7, 2012 Share February 7, 2012 (edited) car just launched but it is so bad, that they have to facelift it less than a year later "John Mendel, executive vice president at American Honda Motor Co., previously had said Honda hoped to get a midcycle freshening for the Civic sometime in 2013. More recently, Honda executives said they hoped a change could come by the end of 2012." SimonTan 2nd Gear February 10, 2012 Share February 10, 2012 (edited) Saw a new Honda in my car park this week. Walking from the front of the new Honda car, I noticed the slim grill and design. I thought oh wow a new FACE lift Honda City. I peek inside and see, wow....not bad for a new city.....Very basic interios befitting its basic needs...but nice. I stood by the side....and noticed that the car body size is small and similar to the city and different so it cannot be a facelift.......then I said to myself....hey it must be the NEW City. I walked to the back and saw the word Civic. My jaw dropped......WTF. How can this smallish....and bland...and basic looking car be the new civic. Trust me....if without the label....I should have bet my bottom dollar it's a new CITY. Honda has lost it. Charging expensive prices for this basic crap...........I told myself....sales will never take off for sure. Desmondtwb Clutched February 10, 2012 Share February 10, 2012 The new civic is much bigger than the city, only a little smaller than the older civic. You say until it's damn small but I do agree with you the interior is a step back.
Jamesdevil Neutral Newbie February 10, 2012 Share February 10, 2012 That is because Kah Motors are still stupid enough to take the civic from Japan. Thailand makes the same thing with unnoticeable quality differences. Hey if you are not getting decent sales already, why still so adamant in old habits ↡ Advertisement
