Piyopico Supercharged February 16, 2012 Share February 16, 2012 WP can always be transparent n get the other party member to address the truth since Yaw refused to say anything. Imo, they are not entirely transparent especially the other gal is also WP member Transparency alread very good if u compared to MIW. On the scale of accountability, they are like heaven and earth difference. On one hand, an MP is accused of infidelity and let just say he affects his own family. Contrast to home Minister letting terrorist run off, the implication could have been a disaster for innocent lives, our international image, our attractiveness as a holiday or investment destination etc. One got sacked. One still sitting around like Tua Peh Kong and act like nothing happened. People really need to look at things in perspective. Dun hear reports about what WP has disappointed the voters etc.
Andylkkg 4th Gear February 16, 2012 Share February 16, 2012 I think this by election is a good "referendum" on how PAP government has performed over the last 7 months... Yes, i do agree that this B/E could be a good indicator of what the achievement were attain after last May on the new government. However, look from comments street-wise, predicted to be higher winning margin for WP, what do you all think?

Where is the accountability??

Where is the accountability?? Somehow this forum always manages to turn the arguments against MIW..... I was expecting discussions on whether YES or NO to a by-election would best benefit the MP-Less Hougang residents.... but... its all about which party wins the game. Hehe....atypical..... here in MCF

Jetabout777 1st Gear February 16, 2012 Share February 16, 2012 If PM is smart, he should immediately arrange for a day to meet up with LTK & Sylvia in his office, discuss whether there is a need for a by-election, if WP can manage the work load , then no by-election is needed. There should be a 2 way communication and PM should respect WP and the Hougang's resident decision. [laugh] You really funny!

Sitting down with WP to discuss is almost as good as lowering his pride and admitting defeat even before a fight. In whatever way, it's a hard decision. He can drag longer until the all the recent screw ups die down, but also taking a risk of another bigger screw up later by don't know which organisation. Too bad, after the elections, many other policies/incidents were implemented to make people feel even more disgruntled.

He is just a human not a saint. How smart can he be... if he is that smart, PAP won't have screwed up singapore now by allowing so many foreign trashes to come in at the expense of the locals and not forgetting other problems they have created. So many social problems have happened at public places all because of those foreigners. Wasting tax payers money and also screwed up the child policy and asked us to have more kids now... now it's political issues making a big hooha in our country.
