Some of my Iphone contact has several phone numbers, if switch to Android, would the additional numbers be lost?? No probs at all. I use mycontactsbackup pro. $2 only. Apps that are installed directly from Market is pretty safe, so no worries. And again, Megapixels is not the accurate measure of the picture quality for Galaxy Nexus. Metalsubzero Clutched February 21, 2012 Share February 21, 2012 Made the switch from IP4 to Galaxy Note and am loving it.. IMHO, Android is more customisable., the Galaxy Note's reception is much better den IP4, Resolution is top notch with the HD Super Amoled screen.. I'm loving it cuz I put alot of SNSD (Girl's Generation) videos and the quality of the display is amazing.. Colors are vivid and very pleasant on the eye.. I call it my Samsung Series 1 TV.. LOL.. It's almost like watching TV... Camera quality is on par with top smartphones which bank on their picture quality.. Apple still beats the Note hands down on startup of the camera and taking of the first picture.. But it's not really a bother.. The only thing is night shooting is poor.. The flash is almost too bright.. And without the flash, picture quality is compromised.. Speed is fast.. On paper the processor is probably faster den IP4S, but generally it feels the same.. Not much lag even when you're opening a lot of programs.. Of course, people say it is so big everyone can see what you're doing on the phone, but aren't Ipads even larger? I do believe if you are sending private smses or such, you would do it discreetly.. There would sure be a way you can hide your screen from others' sight.. Sound is comparable to Apple's which is not very loud.. Should be louder IMO for a phone this size.. I believe alotta ppl watch movies with the Note.. The location of the speaker is awkward though.. If u do alot of video watching on your bed on a prone position, the sound would be muffled out as the speaker output is located at the back of the phone.. Apple has a fixed storage capacity (16/32/64gb) whilst for Samsung, you can store information on MicroSD cards, which is a plus.. Samsung does not use a fixed battery, so you can change the battery with a spare one if your battery dies.. The negative part is Galaxy note's battery usage is quite high.. I use my phone quite alot so I have to charge it every night.. And charging time is about 2 hrs for a full charge which is pretty long IMO.. And it gets even longer if you use the phone concurrently while charging.. Another plus point is it's much easier to transfer files onto the phone.. I can basically just click and drop it like a normal PC.. While for Iphone everything is done thru Itunes, which kindda sucks.. Android apps are fast picking up, although it still has someway to go to challenge the Itunes store.. Android is highly customisable.. With Samsung's TouchWiz, you can put live wallpapers, add widgets which you use oftenly.. See the weather, see the latest emails, facebook updates etc.. Programmable up to 7 pages.. I was a loyal Iphone supporter, but I believe Samsung and Google had made leaps and bounds.. Apple must continue to come up with ground breaking ideas if they are to win over this highly competitive market again.. Not discrediting the new CEO Cook, but I think Steve Jobs was irreplaceable.. IP4S battery also not much better than SGS2.. My gf's IP4S can barely last 1/2 day with constant whatsapp-ing.. same goes to my SGS2.. the difference is, i have a spare battery on standby when i need it.. Looks like samsung smartphone battery life not very long, like the galaxy S batter life also very short. even now, still no stock at the providers .... my boss and colleague want to buy also no immediate stock ... only waiting list. i managed to get mine during the 3rd week of its release. and yes, battery life is about 1 day or so ... so i bought an extra compatible battery(with external charger) for $17 as standby. But as for Galaxy note, I wonder whether can the data be easily transferred to Galaxy Note via Outlook or you need special tools, and whether the transferred is 100% complete. A part from the bigger screen, why do you prefer Galaxy Notes over Iphone? Im on Android. Wife see all the benefits of Android and change to Note few weeks back. Iphone4 now for kid.
