13177 Hypersonic February 22, 2012 Share February 22, 2012 even now, still no stock at the providers .... my boss and colleague want to buy also no immediate stock ... only waiting list. i managed to get mine during the 3rd week of its release. and yes, battery life is about 1 day or so ... so i bought an extra compatible battery(with external charger) for $17 as standby. This phone is as popular as i-phone! Still thinking whether to get one also? ↡ Advertisement

Kangadrool Supersonic February 22, 2012 Share February 22, 2012 Once you're in dual core territory, battery life sure drop.. IP4S battery also not much better than SGS2.. My gf's IP4S can barely last 1/2 day with constant whatsapp-ing.. same goes to my SGS2.. the difference is, i have a spare battery on standby when i need it.. Does Samsun still bundle extra batt for their handsets? They used to do it for handphones, but bot sure if they give extra batt for Smartphones? Acemundo Supercharged February 22, 2012 Share February 22, 2012 this galaxy note looks huge... does it look/feel weird using it for phone, or u guys connect to bluetooth headset? many pple ask me this question. to be fair, a 5.3" is not much bigger than a 4+" in many other phones. also i joked with them, 我面子大 so the phone doesn't look out of place when held close to my face

Dogbert1973 Clutched February 22, 2012 Share February 22, 2012 I just switched from Iphone 4S to Note very happy with it so far, except for voice dialling via the handsfree (not available) 1) Transfer contacts - very easy. sync your iphone to gmail. then sync your Note to gmail (some names appear half only due to fields, but is ok) 2) Transfer songs - very easy, use KIES (which is their version of itunes) 3) Transfer photos - very easy, just drag and drop into the phone or SD card memory. One thing to note, try to compress the photos if you have many pictures. 4) Transfer SMS - not easy, have to use apps. so in the end I did not bother
Pepe Clutched February 22, 2012 Share February 22, 2012 I'm currently a Iphone user. If I get a Iphone 4S or 5, I can easily transfer everything from Outlook to Iphone 4S. But as for Galaxy note, I wonder whether can the data be easily transferred to Galaxy Note via Outlook or you need special tools, and whether the transferred is 100% complete. A part from the bigger screen, why do you prefer Galaxy Notes over Iphone? I got the HTC Dream from Singtel when it first arrived - just to "try out" what Android is all about. Like! Got the Nexus One to experience pure Google plus get first-hand software update. Love it! In the beginning, I missed the physical keyboard of the Dream, but once I started using Swype, typing is a breeze. Got the iPhone4 - my first iPhone - to see what the hype was all about. Gave the phone to my wife the very next day! Very painful to use. After using Android for so long, the iPhone is really very VERY restrictive. (Ha ha... I finally understood why it is called "Jailbreak"!) I finally decided to get a new phone when the Galaxy Note arrived. Absolutely love it! My trusted Nexus One (used it for 2 full years) now looks like a toy phone! Also, Samsung really did a good job with TouchWiz. But the screen alone is worth it - it is fantastic! If you are using iOS all this while, think you owe it to yourself to give Android a try. (And yes, no point argue which OS is better - it really depends on the individual user). If you are worried about battery life, just buy an extra battery from eBay - problem solved. (In fact I super kiasu got 3 spare batteries and a wall charger.) But warning... once you start using the Note, it will be impossible for you to use any other phone with a smaller screen!
