Almost killed by yet another red light chiongster !!

After the 2 crashes at Bugis, I became a bit more careful when moving off when the light turns green.

Guess what ? It saved my life and my little kid's life just now !!

18:05hrs at junction of Anthony Road Cairnhill Road (next to Environment Building).

I was approaching the junction and the green light has been there for some time. Thinking there was gonna be a red Ferrari round the corner, I released my gas pedal and slowed down to a crawl before turning into Cairnhill Road. Just then a dark blue SUV ignored the red light on Cairnhill Road and sped past inches away from my bonnet !!!!! [furious]

I was so stunned I jammed brake, car still partially into the junction and looked at the lights again - still GREEN IN MY FAVOUR !!

I am thankful to God that I can come back home and type out this incident out....

Everyone, drive super-safe. There are a lot of crazy drivers out there.

Got vid?

Send to TP with VIN.

No car cam. And the SUV was so fast I could not read the plate number.

My heart has not gone back to normal rate yet...

I know what our scholar authorities and scholar experts will say on front page news.

They will focus solely on the safety of the car, the features of the cars, the safety features on the road.

Nothing will be mentioned about the RE-PROGRAMMING of the human brain.

ALMOST ALL ROAD COLLISIONS on the road are caused by human error.

Yet, the LTA, AA, Car dealers, and the "Expert Panel" will claim it's the features of the vehicles that need to be upgraded.

So much for their scholastic intelligence. Blame everything and anything and all the tools of the trade but nothing about idiots who are given the license to drive on the roads.

Glad you are fine. Now I also have the same habit of looking left and right when lights turn green at junction. Better be safe than sorry. You did the right thing.

Thanks, mate. I am still thinking how my car would have looked on tomorrow's newspapers. And my photo.

Good to know that your and your family are safe from such reckless driver [:)]

Hi MBS350L, believe it or not I just googled "S Class side impact safety". I am thinking of changing to a S class - you think it is the safest car around?

FYI, my family has already experienced a relative dying from a car accident - also side impact. Along Gambas Ave. [:(]

I understand what you mean. I don't know why but when I reached home and telephone my friend to tell him about the my near death experience... his first react was also to curse the authorities and foreigners. Maybe fresh from by-election fever..

Hi "Cheepo" or "lucky Fella" :D

Yes, the S-class is with side impact safety and i believed when our time is up, at the speed the 599 GTO was going, i think a Hummer H3 also mati

Like the S more for the comfort rather than safety

[:)] Drive Safe!
