Gst Voucher

I dont mind if the gst voucher goes only to the poor but i feel the amount should be more lor, like $500. this will be more significant and also shows the gahment really wants to help the needy, and not just for show. $100 or $200 doesnt help as much, given todays' cost of living, especially for a family with children.

 

I think this year is $500 right? My wife got $500 but did not receive anything for the utilities.

Maximum support. Personally me and my family is doing alright and don't really need the voucher, and I'd rather give it to someone who needs it more. But be careful gentlemen...after this GST voucher later the ERP and transport fares will kee...must watch carefully...

My wife and I also got $500.each. But i am curious why they need to break into 2 x $250 for GST Cash Vouchers and 2 x $220 for my GST Voucher - U Save as follows:

 

GST Voucher - Cash $250

Extra GST Voucher - Cash -$250

To be credited to my POSB AC on 1st Aug 13

 

GST Voucher - U Save $220 - will be given in 4 payment (Jul 2013, Oct 2013, Jan 2014, Apr 2014)

Extra GST Voucher - U Save $220 will be given over 2 payments (Jul 2013 & Jan 2014)

I am given GST Voucher U Save of $220 b'cos I m staying in 4-Room flat

 

In addition, my wife and I will also be receiving $200 Medisave top up each in our CPF Medisave AC by 31 Aug 2013. My household is also eligible for 2 months of Conservancy charges rebates.

True, a $50 can at most be adequate for 2/3 days of grocery purchase for a family with 2 kids at the wet market.

Ermmm..I think this Gst voucher is more of subsidizing the "7%" extra that we are paying rather than the the full amount that we are paying.

 

If calculate base on the 7% is sufficient for low income,if they want to subsidize your full bill,give 10k also not enough,example baby bonus..
