Any recommendation for latest version of car cam. Price range from $300/- to $500/-

 

Have not view this threat for the past 3 years and currently my Thinkware FX500 of 3 years is giving problem now. Thinking of changing it and good brand currently on the road.

Look for Garmin dealers. But frankly, Garmin are good for GPS, not car camera.

Are you sure Garmin don't innovate?

 

On most phone, use GPS.  Garmin is using GPS + GLONASS to improve accuracy.

I've tried waze, Google map, in the end went back to my garmin GPS, tunnel will auto-route, carpark can find route to specific Blk, junction views etc, enter JB no need mobile network. Still a notch better, but they don't have jam, TP warning etc. Edited July 29, 2018 by Dafansu

I have never own any sat nav device.

 

In tunnel, Waze tell you which exit to use.  Just watch out for it lo.

 

Car park cannot find is a map rather than device issue.

 

I believe nowadays Google also got offline map.

can try to figure it out, search online etc how to manage the above u mentioned , but in the end a dedicated gps set is still the best and easiest way out if one need such navigation. I came from era of malsing, malfree map and still prefer a dedicated set. It's more or less a personal preference. Waze is good too, if one does not mind no junction view.

Hi...…

 

Yesterday afternoon was free so went down to ZMC to look for the latest model. 

 

After viewing so many models, decided on Thinkware F800 Pro. Installed on the spot which took only 30 minutes as the front cables (former  Thinkware X500) can still be reused. Only need to replace the rear cam & wiring.

 

Total cost $599.90c ….

as this was install on the previous van and wanted to put on the new van

 

had tried to look for the dealers which can install at 1 go rather than going to ad

making 2 trips

 

 

will call them up monday and see if they have retailers that can install on the spot

I think for the most part the best dash cams have comparable innovation to each other, and generally mount some place along an auto's front windscreen, or windshield. Obviously, wherever you put your dash cam must not obstruct your perspective of the street.

I second this. I'm a fan of Xiaomi's car cams too, they are cheap, high quality and reliable. I already have to use it once when I was rear ended at a red light.
