Celicar Turbocharged August 1, 2012 Share August 1, 2012 不知羞耻 Regardless whether guilty/innocent, to try and make your big problem other people's problem is really "cannot say over". These people are believers of the faith, how can a person exploit that and feel no shame? I don't understand.
Christan Turbocharged August 1, 2012 Share August 1, 2012 If the people can still donate willingly to him, this shows he basically have them eating out of his hands. Even if only half of therm donate, still 10K strong. Can even raise an army out of them if he wants to

Iceman81 4th Gear August 2, 2012 Share August 2, 2012 Hmm...I wonder, since these people are rich enough to help them offset the bail, can the IRAS check their income and ensure they do not need any help from the govt? Just a thought.
Kar_lover Supercharged August 2, 2012 Share August 2, 2012 Hopefully those senior counsel, esp the MP, knowing their payment are of people hard earned saving, would pull out their service 1) don't polticise the issue: MP also need to have day job. And a lawyer's job sometimes include defending "bad people". This protecting bad people is not something lawyers enjoy doing. In fact they often have haunted by guilt but no chocie they have to be professional. One of my lawyer friends had to defend a murderer and he felt so terrible, haunted in his dreams, go drinking to forget his guilt, etc. But it is a "check and balance" to ensure that law enforcement officers do not go overboard. If nobody defend "bad people" then authorities can anyhow catch people and throw them in jail without trial. Is that what you want? 2) if these ppl so stupid as to give their hard earned money (since they believe their reward is in "heaven") then that's their problem right? Tayspiderx 3rd Gear August 2, 2012 Share August 2, 2012 BUt do they really need the cash? Being a MP esp contradicts his virtue of serving the people ↡ Advertisement
