Throttle2 Supersonic November 20, 2017 Share November 20, 2017 You quoted wrong pax is it? I am referring to SG PM, not Trump leh. Oh if you referring to SG PM , my mistake. However even if you are referring to SG PM, as long as he is using his salary which he so legally acquired, it is fine. Even though his salary is taxpayers money but thats where all civil servants salary come from. Otherwise it means you have a problem with teachers and policemen and other civil servants as well. ↡ Advertisement
DACH Supersonic November 20, 2017 Share November 20, 2017 Sheltered walkways Bicycle paths Aircon bus interchanges Lifts and escalators for overhead bridges etc etc .... They promise We pay. Dunno when people will up. I find these 2 ok. Air con bus interchanges benefits the bus commuters and they normally integrate with a commercial and residential project. Lifts and escalators are more for the handicapped people and elderly people (with the aging population). The others is a waste of money. Sheltered walkways is ok to link the main buildings but not to the extend of building them everywhere. Are people so lazy to bring an umbrella these days? Not just spending. The coordination between different agencies can be a big chore and slow down the process. Think lhl and his team should really think hard and find ways to eliminate too many Chain of command for approval for many small/little things. SIA have picked up an important feedback from customers and perhaps call center, that there are too many layers for approval that slows down the process. Now SIA had changed for a better with no more then 3 layers for approval. Which is in the news on the SIA one of the transformation. At least SIA know that if they don't improve, they will lose out. Whereas in our government agencies, they don't improve, they know that it's also like that. But that's not healthy as it really slows things down and end up may even waste more resources on something that can be easily solved by removing some layers for approval process. 上梁不正,下梁歪

Yewheng Twincharged November 20, 2017 Share November 20, 2017 (edited) Picture sums things up. We do not need government to create demand. If the demand is not there, government spend money to want to create demand is equal to waste money. There are many reasons why demand is not there, it's not just about money. It is cooperate world in the business side that sees the opportunity and create demand. Due to they need to survive they will find ways to find out what are the trends and whether is there any demand and etc. So it is the cooperate world that run the economy, not the government. The government job is very simple, maintain law and order. The rest about the economy better the let cooperate world figure out themselves. Of coz government can make it easier for them to operate by having less restrictions or less regulations. Old folk and children as well benefited the most. The wasteful....? PAP MP. Waste of tax payer monies. Their job merely oversee estate cleanliness. I have never seem my MP raises any issue in parliament. So to conclude they are waste of monies. Or at least cut the headcount to half! Victor68 Turbocharged November 20, 2017 Share November 20, 2017 to add : - named " Budget Terminal " as Budget terminal Than demolished and re-build as T4. - Pay consultant unbelievable consultant fee for complex dustin design Very often, the big ticket items spent will not even blink an eyelid whilst the focus is always on peanuts. Even auditors prefer to audit peanuts because these are easier to audit and can relate better to bosses. Big ticket items were approved by big bosses, even if you pick up something, it was approved by them anyway or worse case, their idea. Therefore, for balance and check, what do we need if you are not hearing any within?
