Higherflux Neutral Newbie August 31, 2012 Share August 31, 2012 Why not give the new Lexus GS a try? 0-100 in sub 5s territory. Worthy German contender with Japanese reliability. I suggest you do a google search on "Lexus GS vs 5 Series" to see what motoring journalists around the world have to say.
Tayspiderx 3rd Gear August 31, 2012 Share August 31, 2012 The 5.9s GS is a hybrid not a performance car. Minikong 1st Gear September 1, 2012 Author Share September 1, 2012 My friend drives the latest 528i. Gd performance n fc for such a large car. U looking at new or pre owned? i am more into pre owned, as i saw alot of 6 motnh old 528 selling at 248k, where as 1st hand is selling at 290k. my worry is why ppl are selling the 528 so fast, if it is as good as i think, a little worried la, as my 1st car is also 2nd hand and got some problem lol. but i tink here and there, 528 should be ok, as got warrently from pml. possible to give more review on this car, as i will be driving for the next 3 years at least till i change car, i dont want to keep having problem, very sian 1. as my job require me to travel around some time. If you have budget upto 250k, why don't you buy a brand new 520i or 328i (if you are keen on performance). 520i is decent car and it does 100 sprint in 8sec. 528 is definitely better than 520, but you need to think if the difference is worth for few more seconds that too on our roads with hoggers everywhere....Just a thought. I suggest you do a google search on "Lexus GS vs 5 Series" to see what motoring journalists around the world have to say. GS is better in terms of quiteness and possibly on reliability. But, once you drive bimmer, you know the difference. Bimmer is always good to drive around, where as GS is for driven around! Both are winners - but you need to decide what do you want?
