Panomatic Neutral Newbie April 3, 2013 Share April 3, 2013 According to my car manual, it deploys at approx 120km/h and retracts below approx 80km/h. Perhaps the deployment speed differs from model to model. TP cannot use it against us as there is an option to manually override the auto deployment mode so that one can have the spoiler up at lower speeds if one so wishes. 970 deploys at around 90-95km/h and retracts below 60km/h (I think). Dont think the spoiler is that impt for such a heavy car. And 970 spoiler looks kinda of small (funny) for its size unless it is the turbo (that spoiler is a transformer). My 970 spoiler also makes a funny whooozzz sound when deploy or retract automatically. One porsche owner told me that he asked Sttutgart to disengage its spoiler on his porsche (will not deploy). ↡ Advertisement

Panomatic Neutral Newbie April 3, 2013 Share April 3, 2013 I am amazed that you guys can navigate MSCPs with the panny. Already i feel that some hdb MSCPs are incredibly tight for the 991 and constant worry about curbing my rims. Presently my parking skills or lack thereof prevent me from getting a proper family car from stuttgart The 970 tyre profile should not cause rim rash for normal height curb. But the wide turning radius and the heaviness of the car going up slope + turning is a circus act.
Daywalker 3rd Gear April 3, 2013 Share April 3, 2013 This is a picture of my ride taken outside capella. I believe it is the similar in color to yours. Throttle has a black 997 i believe. Beautiful rear :) Though I feel the words make it a bit busy. Yes, mine is also white but with black canvas top.
Remus325 1st Gear April 3, 2013 Share April 3, 2013 Beautiful rear :) Though I feel the words make it a bit busy. Yes, mine is also white but with black canvas top. Thanks for the kind words Daywalker. I think there is something very sexy about the fat curvaceous rear end of a porsche 911, boxster or panamera. The wording on the back of the 991 is a bit of an overkill but i guess they did it to be consistent with the rest of the family (cayenne, panamera, etc). Remus325 1st Gear April 3, 2013 Share April 3, 2013 No wonder i almost bought your car lah... Same taste....haha. $8k for PSE? They really can carrot..... My previous 997.1 was fully stock except for the BMC replacement air filter. I remember I almost cried when i passed the keys to the buyer. I still miss it once in a while these days esp when i see a guards red specimen on the road or when i reminisce the sound of the sports exhaust. Yes i think PSE will be 8K or thereabouts. With these cars you invariably have to pay to play.
Remus325 1st Gear April 3, 2013 Share April 3, 2013 (edited) Panomatic, Daywalker, Throttle I am thinking of organizing a breakfast meetup with some like minded porsche owners this Saturday morning to shoot the breeze, check out mods, bitch about the wonderful service at stuttgart, etc. It will be a small gathering, max 5 -7 cars. Let me know via pm if you guys would like to come. Edited April 3, 2013 by Remus325

Ya the splitter on the Turbo Panamera's spoiler is really cool I am still undecided on whether to disengage the spoiler when my Techart spoiler comes in. It will sit on the oem spoiler so although the oem spoiler can still deploy, it may look strange....... Edited April 3, 2013 by Daywalker
Panomatic Neutral Newbie April 3, 2013 Share April 3, 2013 (edited) Porsche, including Singapore has updated their websites with the new facelifted panamera. Now also got L (executive) model as in longer wheelbase. Saw at least 2 pre-facelift panamera at the leng kee showroom last week when I was there to top up engine oil. Fire sale? The facelift model commands another 20k more. Edited April 3, 2013 by Panomatic

Throttle2 Supersonic April 3, 2013 Author Share April 3, 2013 haha...same thought process Despite the thrashing PSE receives in overseas forums, I say Go For It!! I did it and left it permanently "on" by removing the electrical connector on the vacuum switch. The stock looks of the Panamera is a tad boring so just HAD to do something to it haha So Throttle and Remus, what colors are your rides?? Mine's BB. Boring Black that is... Sundays may be better as long as we plan ahead

Where did you get it installed? not Stuttgrt i hope Came home past 7 so decided to DIY Was a b*tch to remove the lights with a plastic card as it required a certain angle or "seh" (took 20mins to remove) but the 2nd one was much easier than the first as you would have learnt from experience haha (took 3 mins) the 3 bulbs were simple to remove and replace with the new connectors. To put back the housing was really easy. Go get yours bro Edited April 3, 2013 by Daywalker
