Ha. Even if there's a good workable solution suggested by a nobody they will still stick to their stubborn self and keep thinking what they say will always be right.

That's the root of the problem.

people's vision on hindsight is always 20/20

I find it interesting that people think someone getting things right 60% of the time is a god-given right.

If so our world should be absolutely peachy with not much problems [:p]

Sometimes I think these ppl are so smart(or so they think) they will use whatever resources/brains to find a solution like solving a Math problem. Look at how they make policies more & more complicated coming up with "formulas" as if it's a competition of some kind. The ultimate focus is always result driven, numbers & stats. Ppl are not concern about the results needless to say. They just want some care & concern. I mean look at our current policies, which of them show care & concern for its ppl? I can name those which gives you fines and summons, there are plenty of such policies to choose from.

Even when they try to convince ppl to get hitched and start a family, it's like serving a cold dish and giving some sort of command. Somemore got the "if you don't do as I say, I will just have to bring in more foreigners" attitude. Thank you for that show of "care & concern" from the leaders to its ppl.

Continue to be this way and I'm sure it will bring down the country. Showing some care & concern for its ppl goes a long way. Trying to be a control freak and control everything is not always a good idea.

The arrogance is still there. One wonders when it will stop

You'll stand on that side of the fence once you're a committed 100% Singapore Citizen with no escape route option. It's not arrogance.

They are not listening just "wayanging" when people suggest they refute... what a way to get people to be involved. YOU have to convince us that the policy is worth continuing not WE convince YOU that the policy should not continue.... [shakehead]

For the increased in foreign workers, what benefits have it brought in generally for Singaporeans beside the GDP?

1. Has salary increased by 30%?

2. Are there more jobs created or job lost? Jobless rate does not reflect how many Singaporeans have lost their jobs to their foreign counterparts

3. Are there more welfare for poor and elder?

People reflect their concerns but none addressed: -

1. Job security - Innovation & Experience VS Cheap Labour

2. Social - Multi-racial VS foreigners who can't understand (Amy Cheong saga, she's a Malaysian with Aussie citizenship but working as AD in NTUC??? [whip] )

3. Overcrowding - Public Transport, Housing etc

So if I become a Singapore citizen I'll start believing that the PAP are messiahs that score above 90% in every exam? [hur]
