ok sorry boss. just to point out that he did a second post mentioning on the application software associated with the unit has only 24fps and edited it. he eventually deleted his post. given a wrong analogy of applying winxp patch over win8 platform lol. this is an application software... universal application software. Itronics has developed one PC player for the following models:ITB-1000HD, ITB-100HD, ITB-100HD SP, ITB-200HD, ITB-250HD.

Yes should really feedback to mindef, as it not only benefit regulars, it also benefits ns-man reservist and contractors. Still I firmly feel that the benefits of in car camera will be of help to these people one day should they met an accident, hit and run or even video edvidance of other party hit and run, dangerous driving etc. Now some camp already allow camera phone in camp with the de-marked green zone and I am sure with many feedback to mindef I hope they are kind enough to understand it and not so rigid about everything.

Yes totally agree. I am sure they will revise their directives across all camps in the near future with the increasing trend of car camera. :)

Anyone have using the new Power magic that come with switch on the ITB-100HD? Thinking of replace it with my current Power saver from the Itronic that come with the camera. Especially for my rear camera.

Same situation as you. The person kept editing to make it sound like he's a nice person and I'm the angry one.

 

Well, in this last post of mine, let me share why I revived the interest in buying this cam from other sellers.

 

I was involved in a chain accident recently and if I have video evident, the case will be much simpler.

While doing my research online, I happened to find dashcamtalk and that's where I found this little camera a good fit to my stringent requirements. The problem is with the price. Like one bro said, the so-called authorised dealer (AD) was selling it for near to $400. While in ebay, apple-ct and other dealers were selling at USD$170 with international EMS (our equivalent DHL) shipping. Minus shipping off, apple-ct is probably earning a decent profit selling at USD$150 (ouch ... sorry i hurt some bros who paid the higher price). I tried to reason to myself by local warranty blah blah blah. But, i still can't bear to fork out 100%+ for middleman fees. And to wait for those stupid promo like CNY specials, Labour day special, first 20, GB of 5 etc, won't reduce the AD price much. So, I did a calculated risk and asked apple-ct to deal through ebay+paypal. He did and he purposely setup an item exclusively for me to bid. Excellent service. And the best part is the camera reached me in 3 working days. No need to wait for specials, group buy etc.

 

Having experienced such a good service, I decided to share with the forum here, where I always quietly consume information. I know people here are doing business and I don't want to smash their rice bowl. So, I just posted I got it cheaper at ebay. Later, some bros PM me and I told them about apple-ct. They bought it and shared their good experience with apple-ct here. Btw, the korea dealers seems to have up their price a bit recently. But, I still think it's a good deal compare to what is being offered here.

 

Okay, that's all folks. I think I have already did my part by sharing everything I know. You decide what you want and believe.

I am pretty sure those who have followed this thread closely would have noticed that once in a while, unknown accounts with little post counts or same old account (someone banned due to framing ) will reappear and spam the same online seller information and try to draw people to buy from him, or even claiming to re purchase at a ridiculous low Price which is even lower than what the itronics manufacturer offer for their local and overseas authorised dealers. Even if it's really at that low price, we have to rethink the reliability of their source, and analyse why applect is banned by itronics Korea & EBay for selling itronics. Those regulars will know what they and their clones hidden agenda are.

But despite this, genuine buyers who know how to compare the pro and con now between unauthorised seller and Local AD which just at a difference of $60-$80+ with our given promotion now,are still buying from us. Doing so prevent worries about down time while their unit breaks down, reliability of the source, shipping fees incurred to and fro, and contacts hassle though cyber means. But of course to each his own.

 

Side Note: Business are business, having sore eyes and trying to spoil someone sales online is just something wrong & low to resort to. What's goes round comes around. :)

 

Do note that we are still selling at very competitive price compared to other Korea brands carried by other local distributors. It will only be fair to compare local price between local units across different brands. Online purchase vs local support is two different things.

 

But of course, consumers also are well aware that the markup are needed to sustain a business in Singapore for their overhead due to advertising, road shows, custom taxes, website maintainence etc compared to online seller with almost no cost just by listing on Ebay.

i think that the only good point about buying from AD is the warranty however this model of cam has absolutely NO problems at all, i don't even format mine once every 2 weeks, my sd card has been inside the camera since the 1st day and only removed to extract videos, but NEVER formatted.

 

my suggestion is to just go ahead and buy from ebay. why bother to pay an extra $50 for warranty on a product that doesn't fail?

i've bought 3 sets this far and not 1 set has given problems, of course if you still rather the peace of mind then go ahead and pay the extra $$ but i'd rather keep that $50 for my next dashcam

i did it myself. free.

 

its very simple actually. all you need are a pair of pliers and time.

just turn on your cabin lights and keep on plucking out fuses 1 by 1 until you find the fuse that turns off your cabin lights

connect the power cable to that fuse and hide the wiring.

 

done in 30 minutes tops

ok boss thanx. i'm going to finish up my findings on this ITB-100HD SP and UPC cable/power magic and i'm off. feel like sharing this info for the benefit of the members here, especially locals.

 

@Shochong - u have no idea about cyberworld and netiquette. spamming? few post counts? unknown accounts? assuming is bad dude. the admin has the right to mass delete 0 posters or spammers. have u ever manage a bulletin/vbulletin board before? few post count maybe a newbie to a forum/board but not to the cyberworld. have you ever used an ibm xt or mac plus, lol. guess not huh.

 

ok back to the topic... here's an extract from the manuals if those who are interested in voltage and timer settings of Power Magic and Itronics ITV-80 Uninterrupted Power Cable.

brief description:

Power Magic voltage setting: 11.8v and 12v

Power Magic Timer setting: 72 hrs max

ITV-80 UPC voltage setting: 11.6v, 11.8v, 12v and 12.2v

ITV-80 UPC timer setting: 48 hrs max

both will be able to use along with ITB-100HD and ITB-100HD SP.

the software application that comes along with the new ITB-100HD SP is called PC Player version 1.3.2. Itronics has developed one PC player for the following models:ITB-1000HD, ITB-100HD, ITB-100HD SP, ITB-200HD, ITB-250HD. the latest PC Player version is 1.3.4 and it is available for download on the web. upon installation, you will see on the driving mode setting tab it appears full HD (1080P) has 24fps radio button checked instead of 30fps but not to worry about it. do a re-format on the SD card from the unit physically and record something after installation of the unit. then open up PC Player on your desktop PC/laptop to reconfigure user settings. HD (1080P) and HD 720P will appear on the driving mode setting tab as 30fps when you insert your card reader with SD card.

 

there's a radio button for users to enable/disable the Korean voice guidance. advance setting tab is available as one of the extra features in the software. yup, everything is all set now for Megalap round 2 at Sepang International Circuit lol

He is feeling the heat & bleeding now. From this bloody forum, many people learn that buying from Korea is much much cheaper. According to my friend, Korea ct apple has sold more than 100 units of ITB100HD to Sinagpre. Hahaha.. ouch.. feel the pain in the ass?

That is why he suck toe, have to lower his price. He think he is smart? No, consumer know how to deal with these sucker.

 

Look at ZMC, their product pricing is not too far off from the cyber world pricing (sorry got this word 'cyber' from dealer since he likes to play with ang moh).

local consumer has no choice but to buy locally + warranty support. Why not?

But this dealer pricing is too far off from cyber world. Who the fcuk will buy from him..
