Mine is a mazda. I sent to AD before. They can't detect anything wrong and tell me if got sound, it's normal. My engine mount worn out and they can't even detect. Until I went to outside ws then realize. The mount rubber was harden and crack.

I just went under my car and realize the bushing of stabilizer control link alrdy worn out. Could be the main problem.

will AD charge just to check for the problem?

Unlikely. Usually ty check n advise u what is wrong n quote u price to fix. U can say u wan to think about it n go somewhere else fr a 2nd opinion n quote.

Usually agent prices r 1.5 to 2 times more expensive but pple feel assured ty use qenuine parts n think mechs more qualified.

one of the possible reason, if you had brake hard once or E brake. possible that your tyre had been damaged on ur driver side. the sound will get faster as your speed goes faster.

How can the tyre can't withstand e brake

paiseh, hijack ur thread a bit..

is anyone familiar with this noise when accelerating (esp at low speed)?

the sound comes more from the right side (driver side).

if just by hearing fr youtube - timing chain loose? cvt metal belt loose? wheel bearing worn? clutch worn? belt pulley bearing worn? many rotating parts to be listed here i think.

don't sound like steering joint & drive shaft.

experts pls help zoom in the issue.

if you didn't realize. most of the time our brakes are 1 side "effective" than the other side. that's why when we EBrake, sometimes it's only 1 wheel skidding and not noticeable. after which you will feel the car having knocking sound as 1 tyre is uneven due to the skid already.

I don't know about other brands, but falken I used really happened once 2months ago.

the weird part is that the sound will seems to go away at high speed.

its a second hand car which the agent said to have changed to a new timing belt.

he said its normal from a CVT but i am seek second opinion.

in this case. I think the best thing you could do is to send your car to your regular or trusted mechanic let him check for you. if you don't have one, maybe you could try this mechanic.

referral from: Black civic ESi. (Me)

I went do dozen of workshop since Nov 2012 when I got my first car. I think this mechanic is the most patient and willing to share with me knowledge, guide me everytime I asked alot of questions. he doesn't overcharge me too.
