Nzy Twincharged January 11, 2013 Share January 11, 2013 Anywhere in Sg to install those metal toe taps? Cuz of the way I walk I notice the toe area of the soles on my shoes always wear out first but the rest of the sole still good. Feel like installing these toe taps so that the toe area don't wear down faster than the rest of the sole. ↡ Advertisement

Mind you, when you walk, you will have that metal tap sound. makes you sound like a NPCC cadet.

Anyway in office or at home all carpet so can't hear it also. Better than sending back regularly to resole the shoes again. Chickenbackside 1st Gear January 11, 2013 Share January 11, 2013 I've also been searching for toe taps, albeit rubber ones as I don't like the sound. Still no luck. All my shoes also wear out much more quickly in front. I "topy" them but absolutely hate it as it ruins the look of the shoe, especially when you sit cross legged. Only shoes I don't "topy" are my opera pumps which don't get much wear. If anyone knows where to get rubber toe taps installed, please do tell.... Nzy Twincharged January 12, 2013 Author Share January 12, 2013 (edited) it shows your walking posture need some correction? How do you walk? Slide your front part of shoe first? Nope. Always heel hits the ground first. Also dunno why this happens. The rest of the sole still quite thick but the toes almost worn down to the welt already. Also don't like to install those topy or vibram cuz spoils the look of the sole. Already have some shoes with dainite soles for wet weather. Chickenbackside 1st Gear January 12, 2013 Share January 12, 2013 Bro. Mister Mint. I've asked a few (Cold Storage Jelita, Great World, Sengkang Square), they don't have leh. Also asked a few shoe key shops and none of them have rubber toe taps. I guess it's too small a job to actually make money from.
Alpha78 6th Gear January 12, 2013 Share January 12, 2013 mine wears faster on the heel on the outside. toe wear is minimal. me freak? Most people are like that, me included. So don't worry, you are not a freak. Because of this, I buy work-wear shoes that come with wooden heels so that they last longer. Ever bought a pair of shoes that came with plastic heels, totally worn out within 3 months.
