Mack Neutral Newbie January 21, 2013 Share January 21, 2013 Hi guys I'm driving a Forte SX and plan to change my stock Kumho 17 after 3 years. The KH 17 are pretty decent but don't really hold up well under wet weather. I'm looking for tyres which are slightly more performance based. I can tolerate some road noise and bumpiness. Tyre profile is 215/45R/17 Budget $150 per piece Any recommendations from the bros here? ↡ Advertisement

Noise is low too. My size is 205/45/16 at abt $130ea so yrs at 17" sud b a but higher but its still cheap fr what it offers. Tire made in philippines n is considered as semi-performance tire. Remember to get a.drive R1. The a.drive is a much lower standard tire.

Fren, why not you raise the budget to $200 which you are able to find many good quality tyres with Low noise good performance if one lock it at lower budget with lower qualities whcik may have to throw away the less the half worn tyre (cost you more money right?) you initially can tolerate some road noise but after some time you will find it very irritating especially when your families or friends commentted becuase the noise is no longer from tyre is actually from passengers always remember , tyres is the only 4 contacts , and we want our journey to be a wonderful enjoyable and most importantly the Safer one Edited January 22, 2013 by Roberttan

But $200/piece is quite far off for me. Think somewhat said the Hankook V12evo is about $170. I dont mind stretching my budget for that. Guess i get what i pay for ↡ Advertisement
