thanks alot guys,

any good workshop to recommend...

driving a suzuki swift manual?

Im driving a manual swift sport.

you should target the ignition coil, spark plugs.

Ignition coils should have changed both instead of 1.

engine mounts will only be felt if u rev and drive off and change to gear 2.

I had both issues at separate times. servicing changed all plugs, i changed both ignition coils.

then months on, changed driver side engine mount as i heard 'kronk kronk' sounds when driving off and changing gear to gear 2.

Swift workshops, i recommend, Project S @ northlink or DKC at tampines.

If its engine mount, any good workshop can detect, if they cant, should fold up.

thanks googled around seems to be coil problem..

just changed one 2 months back now got to change another one..

any good workshop to recommend?

went to one last week and tell me cannot diagnose.

Check the gap on your spark plug. I encountered the same problem as you a few weeks back after my 20K servicing. Turns out one of the spark plugs had a different gap. Adjust the gap and everything back to normal.

The replies are good, however the best would be an experienced mechanic to pinpoint the root cause.

I had the same issue and some power loss a few week backs, went back to the agent and paid a small sum to clean my throttle body, sensors, perform check on fuel pump, ignition coil, injectors, cables, filter and many others, things are back to normal. Troubleshooting usually takes abit more time. I left my car since morning for a day and collect it the next morning.

Why not go back to your agent and let them take a look? They are usually quick to book a slot for you. If not the agent, at least find a reputable workshop that can solve the problem once and for all to save the hassle. If you do not have long term dealing with such a workshop, then the agent will be the best choice.

Hi, I have the same problem, with my honda civic, manual. Problem for at least 2 years but haven't fixed.

Think it may only exist on manual, and only happen when engine is cold.

Dude,

I had the same exact problem as yours - engine vibrates during cold starts, .. and all is well shortly after.

But am driving an auto Civic.

Changed the engine mounting at Kah Motors.

All's well there after.

bros, i am having similar problem with Audi A5 quattro , but only when car drops to first gear. there will be a 'kick', sometimes even when idling, car will feel like it wants to zao. is this a spark plug issue? doesnt happen all the time, but enough to be annoying

I have similar problem in the morning or when the car have stopped for a long time. After warming up for a few minutes and driving off, it happens when I stopped at traffic lights. The problem will ease after driving for a while.

When I release the brakes, the car do not move. I cannot step on the accelerator and it will cause a sudden jerk and the engine will cause a big jerk, like as if the engine is falling out. I will have to just release the brakes and let the gear engage itself before I slowly step on the accelerator again.

I believe it was the non honda gear oil used before in one of the WS. I have since stopped going there. I did not have time to go to my regular WS so I went to this WS to do my servicing and they did not have the original Honda gear oil.

How can I solve this problem?

Change car.

Easy for you to say that. With the current situation, how to?

Was actually thinking of changing just 3 days before MAS announce the new law. My car was in workshop during that time. Otherwise I would have traded in before the announcement.

After the announcement, all situation changed

we are all not experts....best to go to a car mechanic asap. If none u can trust, then bo pian go back to dealer. If the problem is serious, spend some $ soon rather than have to spend a bomb if (touch wood) the car goes 'up lorry'.
