It is advisable to replace the following if you have not done so:

1) Brake Fluid

2) Radiator coolant

3) Spark plugs

Took the plunge n changed to 17" rims. Expecting fuel consumption to become worse.

[thumbsup]

It won't be that worse if you upgraded from 16 to 17".

But if the original is 15", then maybe.....

Also understand that it also depends on the RIM weight....

I'm using the normal heavy ones, and Japanese ones are light weight but expensive....

Recently I was parking at my Multi-storey Car park and while reversing the Wheel went over the side ramp....

And somehow my Continental CPC5 tyre bursted out.... [bigcry] and cannot be repaired so had to go for a New one [bigcry]

my stock was 15"...so will definitely feel the difference. n no way can i afford those lightweight rims. hehe. wanted to change to 16"...but very very limited designs for 16". n this shop offer me same price for 16 n 17. so i jus took 17.

wah ur cpc5 quite high end one leh...

Wow... that's good.... I thought it's going to be a huge amount... Thanks.

Just done the 20k servicing for my CFE..... it was around S$150...

Understand that the 40k and 60k service is very expensive here in SG....

I noticed that the Proton exclusive Service Centre is not there anymore in TTS (that space is been handed over back to Delgro) and they do it together at their common area.

Saw a few Exoras there for service and repairs...

Sharing for your info.....

I shared before regarding a jerking problem and also during reversing for my CFE... very initially..

The issue got resolved after changing the fuel valve and after the update of ECU & TCU ....

(initially the update was not done properly which caused some other issues like a intermittent slipping of gear [for the gearless] sort of vibration with a sound when in very slow drive especially during traffic jam.)

Somehow these 'solved' issues stared coming back recently.... and during this 20k service they updated the ECU again and the problem got resolved again. Not sure how come the issue came back again....

Not sure whether it got back to its earlier stage as my Battery got flat ... (had to jump start as I was out of station and did not start the car for about 1 month)...

.

Anyways... they asked me to monitor.....

Facing new issue for my CFE......

Getting very strong Petrol smell inside the Car after running few KM.

Initially I thought it is due to the Full tank I filled in, but then this is repeatedly occurring after the Petrol gauge reduced by 1 tab.

No visible leak outside or no sudden increase in Petrol consumption...

Will be taking to SC soon....

Any of your ride showing the same problem?

Regards

I've been driving the Exora CPS for the past 3+ years, and the issue of external smell getting into the car when it is stationary has always been there since day 1, despite the air circulation button on the car set to closed (ie no outside air to be let in). It gets especially bad when the car is stopped at a tracffic junction with a bus, truck or heavy vehicle beside me. My family memebers would complain of the strong smoke smell, and I would have to wind the windows down thereafter to circulate the air.

I've reported this to the Proton service centre each time it was there for scheduled servicing, but they still could not find the problem. Kind of given up on this issue already. My previous rides never had such problems. [:(]

Took my ride to TTS y'day.

They went through a thorough check and couldn't find any Petrol leak.

They suspect that it might have contributed from the Petrol Cap area so done the Sealant and gave back to me after a few trial runs....

Saw from other forum 2 members sharing that they also faced this issue and got solved after SC put the sealant.

So far no issues..... still monitoring.

My FC averages around 8 to 8.5km/l, with 60% city/40% highway. For 80 to 90% highway sometimes I can get around 10km/l. The best achieved was around 11km/l with half a day's drive on the expressway in JB.
