For the record, I did went over and talk to the guy so that he understands his life should be more precious than the little time saved

Most probably yes. It will at least show that the driver was not fully at fault. If someone wanted to kill himself by running into your car and you really did all you could to prevent his death, then its not your fault liao.

I also nearly hit a bike in the MSCP yesterday.

 

Stupid bike took shortcut and came down from the up ramp...lucky my speed was slow and I saw his wheels as I was about the turn....the fella didnt see me till late and swerve away in time.
