Nothing to be surprised. CAT A COE is going up and up. Many cannot afford a new one, so settle for 2nd hand ones. From what i can see, most car dealers will adjust their prices upwards.

just did a quick check, same model same spec similar age car which i bought for 46.5k in august is selling for 60k now..

The used car dealers won't sell cheap one lah. Unless lta decides to increase the number of coes for each bidding, it's not going to change.

 

Example, I bought a used toyota vios 1.5A registered in June 06 for 33k during jan 10. Almost 5 years later, the dealers are still selling the same model between 22-24k. Lol. 7k parf rebate after 10 means meaning they are looking 10k profit at least!

Just extend COE for another 5 years if die die need a car. It's the cheapest option now as compared to 2nd hand or new car.

Not only used car price up.... Ban Mian price also up set meal used to cost $7.00 up to 7.50 and recently to $7.90 !!!!!!. That is a whopping 12.8% up.

 

The only thing that didn't go up much is our wages.
