My neighbour stayed in his car from 10pm onwards becs he tear night parking but not hourly. His nickname given by my wife is kiamkana.

 

He is rich I would say, season parking cheaper lo. Unless he have 2 house

I know a lot of drivers park but refuse to put parking coupon, LOL.

I know one family that employs a maid to wash 4 cars every day, cleaning house and home chores is second to washing their cars.

 

I also know one family that employs a maid to wash their cars everyday and every time after rain. Got 3 cars so one day sometimes can wash up to 12 times if rain start and stop over a few times. Cleaning house and home chores a bonus to this family.

nowadays many simply 打肿脸皮充胖子 ( slap one's face until it's swollen in an effort to look imposing; do sth. beyond one's means in order to be impressive)

don't agree with this. being cheap and be thrifty has a world of difference.

example, shower one time a day at HOME to save water is different from go mother house (or go swimming pool) and do shower to save water. the former is usually at the expense of others.

 

like the classic example posted above. owner sit inside car till 10.30pm after nigh coupon kicks in, that fella is in a way parking at the expense of other users who paid for season (before overnight coupon starts)
