In fact racist mean for example jurong people being racist toward woodland people or hokkien toward cantonese people.

Most ang mohs are not racist, but they are loud, outspoken, cocky as hell and highly aggressive - they tend to not hold back if they can "jiak" you, whether physically or verbally.

 

Most Asians, being reserved, meek and mild in accordance to their upbringing, tend to look upon this as racist behaviour.

 

Actually if you can man-up to them one-on-one, they will have a respect for you.

WHo are considered Asian? Who are considered Angmoh. In my opinion, its too wide to give a fair judgement.

 

Singapore & Saudi Arabia, or Iraq are all in Asia, but vastly different. Korea & China, despite being Neighbours, are very different. You go Portugal, then go to Germany, you can also see vast difference. America compare to western Europe are also very different (other than many Americans are known to be loud mouth arrogant, & overweight). Eastern & Western European are also vastly different. & Russian, some you can mistaken for Asian.

 

A lot of people like to use Australia as example, understandable, as its one of Singaporean favourite destination, for tour as well as immigration. At best you can say Australian tends to be so & so. But to group them in General as Angmoh is a little off the mark.

 

Even so, peoples attitude differ even from city to city. You go London, then you go to say a small town like Warick, & you already see a difference. Even Foreigners in Singapore cannot represent foreigners in their home country at large, or local you meet at tourist destination, cannot present the population at large. For instance, people in Tourism destination may tends to know at least basic English & appear more friendly.

 

Just like I always tell others, Singapore does not represent Asia be it, good or bad, as it is very different from place to place, an Asia being rather large. Just I, or any one of us really, cannot even represent Singapore, for instance, I do not like shopping.

Just to be clear, the post IS NOT to educated you, or directed at you for that matter, or an argument over/ debuke/correct you, or whatever you might be thinking.

 

but it is just to explain with your quote, (to people reading the thread) that I find there is quite a fair bit of different across cultures to group as one. But its only my opinion.
