The reasons why these people perform these act only they themselves knew, and until their payback time comes. When I was kid leaving in a kampong, old folks used to share those tales like even when the traffic lights are RED, better stop your vehicles you wouldn't know who's are crossing the roads though physically no one is at sight .. Don't be too lenient on these a-----es. There's no good reason not to stop when the yellow has flashed and you go over the line 3 seconds after it turned red.

Nice sentiments, but this IS the culture here! Green means go, yellow means go faster! Speed signs means the MINIMUM speed you should go.

for me, i would have been the victim if i had misjudged the van if he were stopping. seems like there was no intention to stop at all despite turning red.
