Been car hunting the past few months and now boil down to 3 cars. The third car is Jap so won't be talking about it here. As per topic, any views on these 2 beauties? Merc CLA - $179,800 BMW 316i Sport - $169,800 Both 1.6L Turbo with the merc churning out slightly more bhp. Merc compromise a bit of rear headroom and boot because of the coupe silhouette. Datsun366 Turbocharged October 15, 2013 Share October 15, 2013 CLA sexy 1.6 BMW go for higher ends, actual BMW experience. MB for overall. Did drive the CLA, velly nice. If you not heading north, CLA is best. Drove bigger BMW, wah shiok man. This 3 series only gud if you can sprint, cameras every where, including car behind you, why risk it locally. Becoz BMW is famous for its 6-cyclnder engines and 50/50 handling, both traits do not exist in their 4-cylinder line-up, only the badge. Mercedes' forte is luxury, comfortable, smooth and refined cars but the CLA is none of these things. Only the AMG model maybe has a hint of Mercedes DNA. Not the fastest or most expensive car in the lineup but I only can afford this 1 The car feels surprisingly faster than on paper and even faster after chip up. Made many new buddies from this forum with the same ride. If you have or going to try, I would be interested in your feedback as it's a good comparison C180 vs 316. On paper C180 with 156hp is more powerful but 316 being BMW should not be too far off although on paper is 136hp. thks in advance!
