I think, this car got good speedo,

Counts by different trips...when Mum driving to supermarket is 90k...

Then counts dad driving on different odo...when he driving, another 63k (he normally takes his Beemer M9 to work)....

Dealer accidently forgot to add the two...

Huat Ahhhh!!

Just checked out '06 Wish, mine is a June, this is a July, price is $40k.....only has 90,000 km (yeah right!! 7 years and 90,000 km? He think I born yesterday)

http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...624&DL=1270

I pay $70k for my Wish....

7 years later, if can still get even $35 would be a miracle (mind you, I have done almost 1/4 million km, so that will become about 120,000 at used car dealer)

2.5 years to drive and 10K depreciation for a wish. Keep on wishing~

my car is 7yrs, 8 mths. current approaching 98200km. It depends on indv. Conversely, i have a singaporen friend staying in JB works in SG and moves about in malasia too. Though nearly exact same age, ( as her plate has same 1st 3 alpha as well as by verbal check when her car was purchased), her milege is 340k, as of 8-9 mths ago....... her car shop told her, if want to sell......confirm must do things as milege is ridiculous.

meanwhile lemon lim hiding n laughing:" all u suckers becoz of me all must pay so much for COE hahhaha"

Actually during his time, COE was very low at around $5000 to$20,000. He flood the COE market with quota more than 2000 per cat at each bidding.

t's believable, if the the family has two cars. During family outing, only one of the car is utilized.

The basic rule for a Cat C, is that it can only be used for the direct needs of the business (yes there are exceptions) - so I agree with you - IF freelance / home business need a vehicle to do their business (for eg: a photographer, needs to get to appts and carry equipments) then fair enough.

If they are using the Cat C vehicle to run their personal errands, do the grocery shopping on a Saturday etc etc, then this is not what the Cat C is supposed to have been for.

With "only" a $7k gap, I don't know how many fall into this usage category, I wouldn't think it would be that many - on the other hand, if you are only using the vehicle in Singapore, then $7k is still a relatively large sum if you die die want a car of some sort.

bat cat C cars on weekends :D

during the lower coe from 05-09, I believe It was also the time of the fiercest human resource mass imports. As such I have my own inferences & don't subscribe to the idea that it was low during those yrs because it was based on forecasted vehicle scrap & now its high because it based on actual scrapping. [bigcry]
