Freeman 1st Gear September 19, 2013 Share September 19, 2013 Anybody here with pr sch kid taking sch bus? I know it is the practice here that we still need to pay for the service even for school holidays, which i feel is rather ridiculous but no choice just bare with it. My kid is having psle tomorrow and I was told that the bus won't be fetching my kid home because there is no school for other levels. While this really gets to my nerve and before I make any complain, can I just check if this the practice everywhere else? ↡ Advertisement

Whether he is old enough or not is not the point. Everybody paid for the service and they don't attend to serve but go elsewhere to make extra income, is that right? Sad to say, if it's industry norm, everybody does it, then "wrong" becomes "right" :( No matter how u complain also no use, the only way is to free yourself from their unfair practices by getting your son to take bus by himself. Kangadrool Supersonic September 19, 2013 Share September 19, 2013 just like school holidays still need to pay school fees though no school to attend......... I think they emulate schools lor. So, must pressure education ministry to waive off fees during school holidays. But, knowing this is Singapore, school fees and bus fares will be doubled. Saw this pre school van charge red light near Meyer road junction. Even without passengers, should be obedient ya? What is the punishment for errant school bus drivers? Severe until or bak kak? Yes, even during school holiday months of Jun/Dec, you still need to pay the bus service. This is because the operator and driver also need to 'eat rice' during these holidays. This is a standard practice and I feel is reasonable, IMO. For the lesson today, the bus operator usually follow the 'majority' - if only a small group then they usually do not pick/send the students. This sounds unfair, in some way, but is a standard practice among all the operators. ↡ Advertisement
