Oh that's so sad.... You should have at least rewarded him for his hard work by buying the car from him ....

No offence to anyone...

I'm not a sexist or stereotype by the way. I'm just stating from own experience.

Usually, I go for a male SE as he would have more knowledge in the car than a female SE. Unless you already know most or all of the gadgets and is only there to nego on the pricing.

My 2 cents worth.

Agreed. And i prefer the older SEs as the younger ones tend to be more pushy in just wanting to close the deal. Those who have been in the industry for more than a few years understand the importance of building a relationship with good service.

I collected a new White Odyssey Absolute 7 seater today.  It is a good and powerful car but it will take me sometime to adjust.

I was driving a 2006 Toyota Wish before this.  The only thing I missed is the number of compartments/drawers available in Wish.  Any of you feel the same?

Do you add any useful/interesting accessories?

Me too. Feel that the storage compartment is too small. Plus cannot place anything on sliding doors (umbrella etc). That's why thought of getting a centre console.

Any idea of where to get the original centre console? Also heard that when they drill to fix the console, there is a possibility of water seepage in case of rain.

Recently compared the 7-seater KAH Motors (AD) EX-V versus Parallel Import (PI) Absolute. Yet to decide which one to go for.

Major differences

Price: AD $148,999, PI around $142,000+ (difference $6,000 only)

Power: AD 175PS, PI 190PS

Sunroof: AD yes, PI no

360 degree camera: AD yes, PI no

Leather: AD full leather, PI half leather with fabric

Honda Sensing (seems more like a gimmick): AD no, PI yes

Warranty: Both 5 years

Servicing: AD 3 years free, PI 3 year free labour, parts chargeable.

OMV: AD around $28,500, PI ??? (AD data taken from here)

Disappointed with the following

Power tailgate: Both no!

Driver seat lumbar support: Both no!

Auto power windows: AD/PI driver side window only!

So all in all, if go for PI, will be saving around $6,000+ by giving up sunroof and all-round camera for slightly higher horsepower and Honda Sensing technology.

Did I miss out anything? Any information on OMV?

Anyone knows if there is an after-market "attachment" to add a middle seat into the second row of the EX-V 7-seater version? Will be good to have if really need to squeeze in one more pax  [laugh]

Hi,

I own one of a few PI variants available from the local dealer, the 20th anniversary 7-seater. Honda Sensing is not a gimmick and it works. Mine has auto up/down for all windows, KM is auto up/down for driver window. For 360 camera, there are 3rd party ones, but not as integrated as the one offered by KM, but still useful for parallel parking, avoiding kerbs and corners. OMV for KM is indeed lower than PI, in most cases.

Having said that, for a difference of 6k, it might be better to go for KM model, if the features check most, if not all the boxes when it comes to what you are looking for in an MPV. KM seems to offer a better servicing package compared to PI dealers and there's the greater peace of mind associated with ADs.

Just my opinion and whichever you decide to go for, it's still a great choice :)

AD has blind spot warning not sure PI have or not.

If it is the Absolute Honda Sensing EX package, blind spot information and active cornering lights are included.

Mine around 460km before "Low fuel" light up. FC 10.5-11 km/l, 70-80% highway, 20-30% city, ECO mode.

Thanks bro..

So based on 460km travel and FC of 10.5-11km/l, u top up max 43.8L with "Low fuel" lights up? And what is the range balance upon the "low fuel" lights up?

So can never achieve 12-13km/L type of FC?

Given the size, if can achieve above 10km/L should consider good already.. Ur best is 11.6/L but u are traveling 70% highway...

Btw, urs is KM or PI? PI one looks nicer but worry on Warranty...

weekdays commute between home and workplace mainly highway, thus can achieve 11.6km/l. weekend cruise around housing estate, so average around 10.5-11km/l. but this is just past 3 weeks reading, i beleive I can achieve 11-11.5km/l in the long run.

mine is from AD. I go for AD for peace of mind.
